Kinda of disagree. There isn't an unique way to do VRS and if an ex engineer reported something similar is inside the GE what change if it's not exactly the same VRS used by RDNA2 or MS? I think the big misconceptions around this matter it's the notion there is only a way to reach the VRS and mesh shaders enhancements, but we put the things in the wrong perspective, if I can say. You can achieve similar effects via hardware if you have a dedicated GE as ps5, or at least seems so hearing different sources

VRS maybe some new buzz word to you and a few others around here, but most modern game engines have used a form of it for many years! It is not a magic FPS wand! It requires both a software solution and the hardware to accelerate the process, both the PS5 and XS consoles have a method of accelerating the process quicker and more efficiently than the last gen. Results are and will be similar, as grandma-ma used to say 'there is more than 1 way to skin a cat'Interesting. So there is no hardware support for VRS then.
I also remember people saying Metro Last Light could never run at 1080p/60FPS on a Jaguar CPU (base PS4), but it did.Reconstructing 4k from 1080p renderer and using all low details like Control. This is a game that maxed out at Real 4k barelly reaches 60 on a 3090. It runs significantly worse on AMD hardware like a 6800XT. The new consoles being so weak for what they want to achieve (RT and 4k), there no chance for what they say

Not if they're using Tier 2, which Series X supports and is used in Gears 5 on Series X and the DLC. I also think they updated it for Gears Tactics also? I can't remember. But Tier 2 won't have those same artifacts that Tier 1 VRS does.

Well with some reconstruction methods it's almost impossible to detect the base resolution. Which is what happened with Digital Foundry and the UE5 tech demo.

I honestly can’t remember a thing about it except being annoyed and frustrated and I kept thinking to myself “when does this get good?”, and a Forrest section with some stealth?
