Ranking All the Divinity Games from Worst to Best

Divinity is a universe and a series of games that has been loved by many gamers. In this article, we will be ranking all the Divinity games from worst to best.

Beyond Divinity

Beyond Divinity is the second game that was made in the series, and the third game chronologically speaking as it takes place a few years before Divinity: Original Sin 2. The game is about Damien escaping from Nemesis, a plane that is now controlled by demons. The events that take place here are actually really important to the entire universe of Divinity. However, the game is terrible. The production was so incredibly rushed that more elaborate quests were cut down to going and picking up things in the next room and bringing them back. Beyond Divinity is ultimately a fairly linear experience where you explore set maps. It is so condensed that the game tries to force you into optional battlefields to level up because there wasn't enough content in the main game to keep you busy. The training system is frustratingly incoherent, making it hard to figure out what you need to pick up. Although narratively it's actually pretty cool, the game is at the bottom of our list.

Divinity Dragon Commander

Chronologically, Divinity Dragon Commander is actually the first game as it takes place about 10,000 years before Divinity: Original Sin 2. The game is a wild departure from the rest of the series. It features airships, steam engines, and just all sorts of stuff that is much more technologically beyond what we see throughout most of the Divinity series. The game doesn't really know what it wants to be. Most of Dragon Commander is a real-time strategy game that sees you occasionally taking on the role of a dragon knight. However, while the real-time strategy aspect of it was competent enough, the other parts of the game are sort of management Sim meets dating Sim. As weird as that sounds, the game does kind of work. However, it still feels stitched together a little bit from various genres. This is why it's ranked low.

Divinity 2

Divinity 2 is not to be confused with Divinity: Original Sin 2. Although it is very confusing, Divinity 2 is actually the third game in the series chronologically. The game is about you becoming a dragon knight and seeking to save the world. The game has a great story, and the gameplay is fantastic. The game is not without its flaws, but it is a great game overall. The game's biggest issue is that it can be a bit of a slog to play through, but it's still a fantastic game.

Divinity: Original Sin

Divinity: Original Sin is the fifth game in the series chronologically. It's a prequel to the previous games, and it's set in the same universe as the other games. The game is about two Source Hunters investigating a murder in a small town. The game is fantastic. The story is great, the characters are interesting, and the gameplay is fun. The game's biggest issue is that it can be a bit overwhelming at first. However, once you get into it, you'll find that it's a fantastic game.

Divinity: Original Sin 2

Divinity: Original Sin 2 is the most recent game in the series, and it's also the best. The game takes place in the same universe as the previous games, but it's set a thousand years after the events of the first game. The game is about you and a group of adventurers trying to stop a powerful sorcerer from becoming a god. The game has a fantastic story, interesting characters, and great gameplay. The game's biggest issue is its technical performance, which can be quite frustrating at times. Despite this, the game still manages to provide a fun and engaging experience that is definitely worth playing. The game's world is vast and filled with secrets to uncover, and the combat system is challenging but rewarding. Overall, if you're a fan of RPGs and don't mind some technical issues, then this game is definitely worth checking out.
