For example why remove spiders from REmake when it added a new level of gameplay idealized by the devs? Which other animal can put in the place that has the same gameplay features than a spider?

Most spiders boss are awesome in gameplay terms… which other animal can you replace it maintaining the same gameplay characteristics?

Same for frogs… I can’t see games without the gameplay characteristics found in frogs.

I want to believe developers choose these animals due it peculiarities so they can’t be replaced.

Never played Grounded but most games I played spiders add a new level of gameplay to the field as random enemy or boss.

Why limit that gameplay experience idealized by the game creator?

You having fear of spiders doesn’t make it an accessibility issue.

There are way more people with fear of high places than spiders but nobody are asking to games have a floor only option.

If we will take that mind in games then devs should stop to make games at all because there are fear to everything… no gun, no jump, no rivers, no high places, no caves, no animals, etc etc etc.

At some point you just have to accept a game's subject matter isn't for you. Adding colorblind settings or controller options is trivial enough and for common enough issues that it makes total sense to do so. Completely revamping enemy designs and such because some people don't like icky things is getting more burdensome for a more niche issue. You can't expect every developer to cater to every set of phobias or esoteric issues. Nintendo's not going to eliminate warp pipes from Mario because some people have a fear of drains.

Hot Springs unlocks after beating all the spirits. The rest are optional after the required one in the volcano. You can always go back to it, the side story unlocks in the winter city.

LOL, yeah. ERA is real inclusive. Just got reinstated there after a month long ban (first ever "offense" too, after years of memebership, no warnings or anything, I'm not the type to troll, or try to offend anyone), because I made the mistake of making a single post saying I generally wasn't offended by the "hot springs" scene in Tales of Arise (where the protag accidentally exposures himself to female party members, when he "forgets his towel upon leaving the spring", in a scene meant to be comedic), along with most of them in general in JRPG.

The context of my post even talked about how although I wasn't personally offended, I found these scenes generally infantile and mostly unfunny, and was just trying to contribute to the supposed "discourse" on the subject that these boards are supposed to be about, but you know, I guess because my reaction wasn't utter outrage and condemnation of the game, for one mildly comical minute of a 50 hour game, you get a no warning one month ban.

Alas, yeah, i frequent that place, as I frequent this place, because I love gaming and discourse around it, and these are the best communities to keep up with things, but its clear there what happens if you don't fit the (very specific) narrative that they want to promote there.

All the more ironic that they are looking to cash in with this deal.. I'm sure everyone at MOBA network must be an absolute saint, or ERA would have never taken their money, right?

If dev start to cater every phobia in the world then we will not have games anymore… well maybe Pong and Tetris but even these I’m sure there is some phobia related.

It seems to have slowed down a bit over there. Reality is starting to set in. It seems that none of the mods actually know what is going on beyond what the old owner told them/posted on the site. It also seems that none of the mod team has been contacted yet by the new owners because they all seem clueless. Users are combing through forums owned by the new owners looking for any clue as to what could happen.

Probably it will continue like this for a couple months while the new owners decide on a gameplan (or implement the gameplan). Eventually I guess mods will get replaced or will be asked to do things they dont agree with and there should be another nice blow up to view from afar.
