One Piece |OT| To The Grand Line

Not really though. She is not as useful to the world government as Vegapunk, for example, and they only want her to stop her revealing information about the void century, and it's looking a little late for that for various reasons.
She has the power to show the way to the one piece and all the pirates want her..
Big Mom, Kaidou etc

Big Mom was betting on Pudding learning the voice of all things. Robin was just a shortcut. Momo and Luffy are both able to hear the voice of all things, although Momo seems much better at it.

Manga Spoilers till 1053

Yeah but hearing the voice of all things is not the same as decipher porneglyphs. It was even stated in the Oden flashback.
Kaidous main target was NR and so was Big Moms(after defeating Ruffy ofc.).
They even stated that all the pirates are behind her and in Chapter 1052 the 5 Elders asked if it still possible to bring Nico Robin back and the CP0 said yes. That was their first!! question after hearing that 2 of the 4 Emperors lost in a battle..
And than the transmitter was jammed and someone(probably Greenbull) says: "Just wait where you are! I`ll be right there!!"
Later in the chapter its revealed that he already was flying above Wano.
So yeah Greenbull is 100% because of Nico Robin there.

The problem to me is not that you are just making things up or reading things that are not there, but that you seem to be reading with confirmation bias. You start from the position that Nico Robin is the most important person in the world, note down all facts confirming that, then arrive at the conclusion that everyone is there because they have some agenda concerning Nico Robin.

Im just quoting the manga…
And if you read op for a certain period, you can see a pattern.
Time will tell :)

I was quoting the manga too, my dude, but you don't care about the times when Robin isn't the most valuable person in One Piece.

Why are they so far behind? Was shocked to see they're at Dressrosa.
Well 4kids did the initial dub for One Piece back in the early 2000s. It's infamously awful but ran up to the start of skypeia (it ended with the cliffhanger of a ship landing on them so it looks like the show ended with everyone getting crushed)

When that flopped Funimation got the rights and had to start in 2007 so they were a full 8 years behind when starting. Then they had a really long break after finishing fishman island (I think a combo of limited hours for VOs being prioritized for other shows and corona). So they've gone at a good pace when they've done it

Appears Crunchyroll supports feminine pronouns for Yamato (and awesome figure)

I need some one piece stuff in my collection other than the jump force statue with Luffy, naruto, and Goku

Alright I had to get the one Yamato and a Zoro lol. Plus I saw DBS is coming out as a bluray set with steelbooks so made good use of the Crunchyroll discount

And of course the first post I see under it is some mentally ill cunt trying to push that Yamato is male (Indicating she biologically has a cock and balls from birth).

I will keep pushing that Yamato is rightfully female untill the moment I die.

As an aside, great statue. If I had the room I would absolutely get it.

Ended up getting a 1/6 scale of her and Zoro today lol. Don't even have the room but I'll have to make it

This break feels long but at least I've finally started Bleach. One episode 30 trying to catch up before the anime has its new arc

Chainsaw Man is coming back from hiatus for part 2 in a couple of weeks. That should break up the waiting.
I need to get into that or just catch up on the gaming backlog. Odyssey has my interest though I wish it were more of a character action game than a turn based rpg. Hopefully once the series is done they get a fun one of those

Man the dub is cranking out episodes! They're gonna be done with whole cake by the end of the year easy.

They started in 2007 and now will be in the same (long) arc as the sub in anime

IT'S HERE! IT'S HERE!!! YEAH BABY!

Wow!

- Green Bull is nuts, if he's emperor-level strong (and I think the admirals are) he can handle all those guys but shanks? He's not gonna make it. I also expected him to be one of the good guys for some reason, like fujitora, but he seems to me the most evil admiral with his blind support of the celestials.

- Flame Emperor! No ways he killed king cobra, doesn't sound like Oda, and Vivi is probably on her way to the straw hats.

- Eight nations in revolution? Shanks going after One Piece? Is he gonna fight withy luffy over it? Probably not. We really are at the end game, I hope it doesn't go too fast.

I love these dense chapters, we're still in for a lot more lore. There's Oden's diary, talks with shanks, and who knows what else.

Next arc has to be the giants island, Oda has been hinting at that for a while. Do they have all the road poneyglyphs? One in Wano (two counting the normal blue one), another in Zou, there's the one they copied from Big Mama... and that's it, am I forgetting something? Fourth has to be at the giants island Elbaf, or maybe the island where Roger and Garp fought Rocks.

yeah the break was too damn long. Was glad to find some leaks and will also read the official release. Definitely some big world exploration as well as some more pressing stuff going on here. Can't wait to see how the fight goes

Yeah. On top of the Road to Laugh Tale chapters, this one had a good amount of news of events from the world. Pretty interesting, although I'm more interested in the action elements. Normally I'm the other way around, and I like to learn more of the lore, but the action should be really interesting.

The action is interesting because there's so many ways it could go. Does Momo manage to get the fire out and prove he can protect Wano which shows Yamato that she can go out to sea?

Maybe Yamato has to step in and realizes she can't join the crew because Momo couldn't handle an outside threat.

Maybe a straw hat has to step in or even one of the red haired pirates!

Personally I think she joins and Momo manages to burn some plants but her quick attack and declaration of her lineage will get her a nice bounty since the navy didn't know about her before that.

So this fight will pretty much determine whether Yamato joins the straw hats or not. If Momo can handle GB then she can feel safe leaving. If not she may just have to stay

My feeling is that Momo told Yamato not to fight due to some detail we don't know about how the Samurai protected Wano from invaders.

I guess the next arc is going to a raid on Mary Geoise while the long expected war between Shanks and Blackbeard war goes on in the background. The stakes are being raised and things are winding towards the end. Everything might even be tied up in the next 20 years if Oda can keep up the pace.

there's some major revelations going on here and holy shit no law with the crew for the first time since...10 years ago? 12? Damn this Kaido saga has been going since punk hazard.

Oda really has to get Yamato on the ship already I'm tired of the tease and Luffy not officially welcoming her. If this is all leading up to some twist where she doesn't join thats fine too but man he's dragging it out

People associated with Roger's last journey seem to take inherited will very seriously.
Probably heard him hint about such things though I'm worried they're giving a 15 year old with no real leadership skills demonstrated too much power lol

Wanda makes sense

Why did Yamato procrastinate until she had to run to the port last minute lol

All right people! I'm doing it!
Just subbed to Crunchyroll and I'm starting One Piece.
I have seen a handful of episodes over a decade ago where they fought a shark man or something.
3-4 episodes per day is my plan.
Let's see if it's worthy of all the praise :)

Nice! My biggest advice is don't force it. I caught up in 2017-2018 after never watching it before and took some breaks after big arcs. Probably took about a year and a half. Now is one of my favorite series of all time though. Would go 10+ a night sometimes when it was near the end of an arc lol then usually break for a little

In the end I saw 8 episodes today, until the defeat of Buggy.

It is really good!

Nice! Yeah you'll find yourself just having to see the end of whatever you're on if you're anything like me haha. Fair warning that "syrup village" was the biggest early series drag for me but other than that I find it hooking right away. Would love to updates in here as ya catch up

Not sure if you ever do dubs but I find the One Piece one really good. Sony still hasn't moved it to Crunchyroll yet

I'm not an English speaker and I'm used to subtitles, no problem!

Great series but they need to get rid of the intro’s and recaps on streaming. When I stopped watching the intro, setup, recap was taking around 9-10 min.

Yeah I usually skip ahead to the title card. Ridiculous filler as the episodes are usually just 18 minutes or so of actual new stuff

40+ episodes done! Arlong defeated.

Nami's backstory got me very emotional. Very nicely done esp how Luffy freed her by defeating Arlong and destroying her room at the same time.

Some random thoughts and predictions: (don't tell me!)

-Coby will make a huge come back. If it hasn't happened already maybe he will be the series final boss. Nah.

-Roger is alive and is related to Luffy. In the intro they kinda look alike.

-It is never clear if a bad guy is dead.
I was certain that the octopus man
died under water but later he was seen on the water surface touching the ground.
For now I will assume no bad guy has been killed.

Bro you can't make up theories this late in the game when the wiki exists lmao. This isn't 2006.

But two aren't exactly wrong and very few characters truly die.

Yamato didn't join. Fuck Oda.

I'm fine with getting just one new one Wano though the way he handled it was pretty awful to have several chapters emphasizing why she would join and then off-screen it when she decides otherwise.

Nice! I forgot how quickly the story moved early on. What did you think of Mihawk?

Hawkeyes stronger than Shanks confirm
Heh well it was worded so as to leave outright strength still ambiguous but I'm inclined to think they're pretty equal given how close the bounties are and the fact that shanks is the leader of a powerful group which naturally boosts his whole Hawkeye, still under cross guild, is more of a loner or at least not the leader
