Where is Witcher 2 for 360??? I think the game is going to STUN alot of people that have not played the PC version. They have been optomizing that game for a long time now to get it run really good and look really good on the 360 and I think it is going to shock alot of people when it finally comes out.

I had to struggle to come with 12 I wanted. Really just diablo 3, tomb raider, and mass effect 3 for me.

1- Mass Effect 3 - my fav series of this gen. I've been on total blackout, hoping this meets my expectation

2- NHL 13 - my most played multiplayer game, take my money again EA.

3- Witcher 2 - I'm proud to be a console peasant, and I am humbled that I get to share in the spoils of the master race. This looks awesome.

4- SSX - looks like the SSX I remember now, should be fun

5- The Last Guardian - hopefully this potential masterpiece isnt tarnished with the Ueda leaving situation, looks to be memorable

6- Ghost Recon Future Soldier - im a fan of the series, looked promising when they showed it last, hopefully they build on the strengths of the franchise instead of pandering to the COD kids who wont buy this anyway

7- Syndicate - nostalgia has me intrigued, but I'll take a poor man's Deus Ex at the worst

8- FIFA 13- fix the goddamned A.I. EA and Pro Clubs while ur at it, and maybe put some restrictions on Ultimate Team so innocent people stop getting there accounts hacked and cleaned out

9- Tomb Raider - I've liked the last 2 TR's, looks like a winner so far

10- Dishonored - sounds and looks different and interesting

11- Rainbox Six: Patriots - see my Ghost Recon description, except this doesnt look as promising

12- Aliens: Colonial Marines - hoping this turns out to be a fun co-op game as advertised, im on the fence right now

I'm going to buy fewer games this year and focus more on my backlog, which is getting pretty big. What strikes me as must haves right now: Uncharted GA, Hot Shots Golf Vita, Mass Effect 3, Max Payne 3, Bioshock 3, Assassin's Creed 3, Overstrike*, The Last of Us*, GTA V*, Killzone Vita*.

* = assuming they come out this year.

Hopefully there will be a lot of indie surprises this year. If the big sequels are anything like 2011 I will be disappointed (again).

• Binary Domain This is getting slept on hard. Kinda sad! Yak team is ballin'.
  
• Bioshock Infinite I have some minor worries, but if nothing else, this should be an enjoyable roller coaster ride.
  
• Counter-Strike: Go, Go, Go! CS is forever king. I'm in position.
  
• Final Fantasy XIII-2 Well, I liked the demo.
  
• Lollipop Chainsaw This one is a major maybe. I'm not crazy about Suda, but I'm really hoping for the best.
  
• Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Don't care all that much for Metal Gear, but mah boys at Platinum make the best action games on the planet right now. This will be all sorts of rad.
  
• Pokémon + Nobunaga's Ambition This sounds way too wacky not to try. I just love weird, off the wall shit like this. Better get a US release though ...
  
• Prey 2 I think this one might surprise. Well, maybe!
  
• South Park: The Game I love Obsidian, and Obsidian loves me. Not the biggest SP fan ever but I'm excited at the possibilities.
  
• Tekken Tag Tournament 2 This would be so much better if I could double up on Lili.
  
• Torchlight 2 Loot whorin' with bros? Why, yes, I am up for that.
  
• Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown I've been out of the VF game for a good minute, but I'm all over this when it drops.

Can think of a few others I'd like to check out too. Should be a good year for vidya gaemz.

Max Payne 3 is the only game I have on pre-order right now. Due to me trying to conserve money, I'm probably not going to buy too many games at full price this year. So besides that, Darksiders II and Bioshock Infinite are the only two I'm currently planning to buy Day One.

Lollipop Chainsaw, Twisted Metal, Dishonored, Overstrike, The Last of Us, Borderlands 2, and Hitman Absolution are all on my list to get, but not sure about day one. That's nine....

If we're just doing full retail games, I'd finish the list out with Xenoblade and Binary Domain. But if we're including arcade/downloadables, I'd go with Alan Wake: American Nightmare and Battleblock Theater.

12 might be a stretch for me this year for a few reasons but here is what I know i'm getting day 1.

1. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning= Probably not a shock, but the game looks awesome. The demo comes out tomarrow so I can't wait to check it out, but I love the dev team, the color in the massive world, the combat, I'm interested in seeing how the story/ lore turns out with R.A being attached. It's just one of those games that I get a good feeling about, can't wait.

2. Ni-No-Kuni= Been excited about this one for awhile. I enjoy level 5's games for the most part, and the team up with Ghibli is the buttercreme icing on the cake. Looks beautiful, amazing OST, and massive overworld. Some thing I don't know about it, but can't wait to explore the world.

3. Prey 2= Be a badass Alien Bounty Hunter? I'm game, with my love of movies like Blade Runner/The Running Man, and my enjoyment of the concept of being a bounty hunter in general games seems like it will hit a few high notes as long as things go right. Hopefully they don't get Beths QA department on the PS3 version though.

4. Dragons Dogma= This is one i'm alittle on the fence about, but will still more than likely by. It seems like a game thats completely out of left field for Capcom, but thats one of the reasons i'm interested. Plus it's Fantasy, Dragons, the character creator and Pawn system seems interesting. I'm just curious as to how the open world aspect will actually work for this, how fleshed out will the world be, how much loot is out there to find, stuff like that. Looks Promising though.

5. Borderlands 2= Love the first one, and It's nice to have atleast one good Co-Op game laying around the house. Seems like Gearbox is trying to make everything bigger, and better for this one. So lets hope they can succeed. Just want to see what the other characters are going to be/look like, Cause the Dwarf aint doin it for me.

There are others that i'm interested in like Aliens:CM, Diablo 3, Armored Core 5, Yakuza Dead souls, and a few more but I need to see more before I make a choice. In the case of Diablo atleast until I get a PC I need some console footage.

Last Guardian, The Last of us, and FF Versus would be on my list but I have no faith those will release this year.

1. Diablo 3- Been wanting to play this for a while. Can't wait to play as a Monk! I haven't played too much of the series. All I can really remember from D1 is The Butcher and I played D2 sparingly but enjoyed it very much. So I look forward to actually playing through an entire Diablo game from start to finish.

2. Halo 4- Love the series, so it's a must have for me.

3. Resident Evil: Revelations- Marks an interesting start of the year for the 3DS. Sure, some of the videos I've seen have some classic horror B-grade cheesiness but so did RE1 Most likely to be my only 3DS purchase for the first half of 2012.

4. FFXIII-2- I enjoyed FF13 for what it was so I look forward to playing the sequel. As crazy as it sounds, the stellar soundtrack is what really pushed this into the must-buy category.

Those are the only four games I want that have confirmed releases in 2012. If I want to stretch it, then my other noticeable mentions are:

5. KH: DDD- Loved BBS and this seems to be as equally fun, if not more, than it. The TWEWY cameos are a definite plus too!

6. Paper Mario 3DS- Never played a Paper Mario game but I'm interested in trying one out.

7. Layton vs. Ace Attorney- This better be localized because it stars one of my favorite characters of all time, Phoenix Wright!

8. Bravely Default: Flying Fairy- I doubt this will come out in the west this year, but it's on my list of games to consider. As the spiritual successor to FF:4HoL, which I enjoyed for its simplistic charm and nature, I look forward to playing this game. From what I've seen, it has a beautiful artstyle.

9. Extreme Escape Sequence: Good People Die- As with BD: FF, I doubt this is coming out this year as well. However, it's the sequel to 999, which I thoroughly enjoyed, so it's a must-buy for me.

10. Final Fantasy Type-0- If this even gets localized >;[

11. Steam Sales- This gets its own category

I've learned not to trust my gut instincts about games before they are released since I tend to get hyped about ultimately disappointing games, but these are the games I'm keeping my eye on:

The Last Guardian - It seems like there have been some serious issues with this game's creation and some drama with Sony, but I'm still holding out hope.

The Last of Us - I can't wait to see what Naughty Dog does after Uncharted. They have a knack for storytelling, but (in my opinion) it's been squandered on a poor Indiana Jones knock-off.

Bioshock Infinite - I want Irrational's babies.

GTA V - GTA IV ultimately disappointed me, but the world-building was first class. RDR was unbelievably good, so I still have high hopes for it.

Dishonored - It sounds like everything I love about older games like Deus Ex, X-Com, Thief, System Shock 2, etc, brought up to the current generation's standards.

X-com: Enemy Unknown - Come on Firaxis, don't fuck this up!

Diablo 3 - If The Old Republic doesn't swallow me alive, surely this game will. Looking forward to months (maybe years) of clicking things to death and gathering loot.

X-Com: Enemy Unknown - I haven't played through the original games (did recently purchase the entire series on Steam) but I am a fan of strategy and turn-based games as well as a giant fan of Firaxis and the Civ series.

Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm - Honestly kind of ambivalent about this, I didn't really get in Wings of Liberty but if enough of my friends buy HoS, so will I. Going to earnestly try to get into the multiplayer.

Bioshock Infinite - I'm hoping to be floored by Infinite the same way I was by Bioshock. I passed on the first game because I simply didn't think it could live up to all of the hype, but when I finally got around to playing Bioshock it completely blew me away.

Hitman Absolution - I actually like a lot of what I've seen and read about this game. Really looking forward to Absolution and hope Io can still deliver.

Thief 4 - If Eidos Montreal can do justice to Deus Ex, they've got the chops to make the next Thief.

Dishonoured - The studio and talent behind this game have sold me on Dishonoured even though we've seen very little of it in action.

Lollipop Chainsaw - Looks and sounds like it's the spiritual successor to No More Heroes 2. Really one of the only console games to come along and grab my attention in a good long while.

Monster Hunter Tri G - The game that will validate my launch purchase of a 3DS. After slogging through the Japanese import of Portable 3rd (it sucked constantly having to refer to the wiki to learn what mats I had/needed), I'm looking forward to playing a localised iteration of Monster Hunter. A friend imported it and it looks pretty sick. Definitely need to get an expanded battery pack for my 3DS, Monster Hunter is worth voiding the warranty.

Starhawk (PS3)- almost afraid to play this, Warhawk destroyed my life
Max Payne 3 (PC)- a dedicated 3rd person shooter with Euphoria, awesome. I also like the daring direction they're taking stylistically.
Paper Mario 3DS (3DS)- gonna have to get a 3DS soon
The Last of Us (PS3)- Naughty Dog is clutch, I'm not sure where they're going with this but it's guaranteed to be great.
The Darkness 2 (PC)- the original was a bit of a gem
Bioshock Infinite (PC)- Bioshock 2 felt redundant but this looks like a novel enough scenario and a worthy sequel
Far Cry 3 (PC)- if it's like Far Cry 2 but with the kinks worked out, I'm all over it
Twisted Metal (PS3)- the return of a once thriving genre... not totally sold on it but rooting for it
Sly Cooper 4 (PS3)- a bit wary with Suckerpunch not on the job, but Sony tend to manage their IPs well.
Metal Gear Rising (PS3)- I don't know what to think about it this, but even if it's bad at least it will be a fascinating experience
Grand Theft Auto 5 (PC)- it's GTA, it's always an event
Uncharted- Golden Abyss (Vita)- Sony Bend is more of a 1A team than a B team

If Thief 4 makes it to 2012, it's number one easily, especially after playing DXHR, but we still haven't even seen it.
