No. Not because that level of rendering quality would not be possible, but rather for the only real limiting factor of this gen: the limit of mass storage. You can have a tech demo with really heavy assets, but to have a full game with those heavy assets, the game itself would weight hundreds of Gigs compressed. I wouldn't mind, but usually it's not appreciated.

Got some snacks, am in a great mood, the squad from gaf around, will probably game some TOTK today before the show and then praying for some big surprises, huge variety, games that are in an advanced state and close to finishing ready for being shown to the world.

I just don't feel like throwing around any game names today. Too much was rumored and clearly not all can be in the Playstation showcase. A lot will be huge segments for MARVEL games and PSVR2. Also focus on hardware like new controllers or different color ps5 plates. I am not even sure what I really hope for. I can name a lot of remakes of games I love and have played 15-20 years ago. Show some surprises and show some quality.

Keighly had to get something substantial to hold ransome til the end of his show case I suppose. How else is he gonna convince the masses to sit through cg trailers for indie survival crafting games that are ten years way, and shick hydro gel ads? But it's that the point of having these super fast SSDs? Being that you don't need to have that much data on drive. I know Epic was talking about this with Unreal 5 with Nanite.

As an Xbox (and Switch) gamer the only thing that sucks for me is having to guess which games will be timed or full exclusives. I will absolutely get a PS5 in the near future, but with these reports about a mid gen refresh, I kinda want to wait.

But this is the one thing that always manages to undercut it a little for me. I hope there will be as little (timed) exclusive third party games as possible.
