People are moving on from ps4 aside from the super casual audience.

Doesn't seem that out of the ordinary. Every console that reaches the end of its life remains relevant only for those who play shit like FIFA or CoD. Those aren't the kind of games that push the envelope and instead aim to appeal to the lowest common denominator.

A MP game can come out of fucking nowhere and do massive numbers. Look at APEX. That shit was at like 100 million almost over night.

It's truly mindblowing just how little they care about their 40+ million sold western epic. Any other developer would've updated that shit on the regular just to maintain sales and reputation of game. It's like nobody even works at Rockstar. Just a ghost town dev house. The Last of Us Remake didnt chart in the NPD Top 20. Didnt chart in PSN's own top 20 downloads. I hope Sony sees this and learns from this. These remakes need to be either $40 or look next gen with actual next gen features if they are supposed to be next gen only.

Hilarious to see GT7 not chart on PS4. I kept telling everyone that no one was gonna buy these games on last gen consoles since we knew the splits from last gen for cross gen games by year 2. The fact that they held back the games by tying them to last gen hardware for an audience that isnt even interested in these games is extremely frustrating. Fire every single one of those suits.

The fact of the matter is that the early adopters drive sales. Especially day one full price sales everyone covets so much. No one should give a shit about the audience who buys console when they hit a mass market price or games when they hit $10. Sony's own numbers indicated that early adopters spent $1,700 vs $700 for everyone else. Give them the next gen shit they fucking deserve.

Also it's been making the top sold list even in some months it wasn't on sale.

Like now for instance it's on the best selling list but isn't for sale. I'm sure the show is giving another boost as you said as well.

Sale or no Sale, 2+ year old Sony games usually don't make these lists.

Rockstar games live in a different stratosphere so I tend to just compare Sony Games and certain Multiplats in these comparisons.
