Possible BioShock Tease May Not Be What It Seems

A mysterious website teasing BioShock is making the circles online, but fans should be wary as it's not likely what it seems.

The website in question is titled theresalwaysalighthouse.com, with the website’s name simply being “stay tuned.” Obviously, this is a tease for something and that URL is an unmistakable connection to the franchise. As Elizabeth reveals in BioShock Infinite, “there is always a lighthouse, there’s always a man, there’s always the city.” This ties into the grand themes of the franchise, where these three elements remain constant in an infinite universe of variables.

Some have come across this website and drawn a connection to the forthcoming Game Awards, but unfortunately, this is unlikely to be the case. While some fans are just now discovering this lighthouse website, potentially enjoying the idea of a BioShock in space, the truth is the website is not "new" as many claim. It's been around since at least 2020 and nothing has really changed. Indeed, "Stay Tuned" here likely means to stay tuned for quite a while.

Not going to live up to the hype, since mostly everything that's released this gen or last gen has been watered down compared to its predecessors. Could still be good, but a lot of what made games good 5+ years ago has been ruined by PC nonsense.

The city 1 and city 2 angle with different ideologies and vertical war does sound interesting !

Loved all Bioshock games. No idea why some people had such a huge issue with Infinite. Looking forward to whatever gets announced.

Its 100% a Bioshock game.. Only question is when the reveal will be.

I dunno. It was incredible in part 1 I completely agree but in Part 2 it wasnt as fresh.

Bioshock Infinite is the best game of the last decade, when it released it was perfect on every of it's aspect from the technical, graphics, ai and physics point of view, to the art direction, level, character, design, vfx, audio and it's narrative, cinematography and world building.

The only aspect on which it was not perfect was the gameplay loop and gameplay itself which although interesting in many concepts, felt a bit rigid and repetitive.

The first one being great in many of the same way but not on the scale or even to the extent of infinite.

Which is why I hope that without Ken Levines, this game gets cancelled, the logo is uninspiring and ugly, the 2 city concept is dumb and simplistic, and the fact that 2K (again we're talking about 2K) cancelled project "Volt" over "quality concerns", makes me wish profoundly this doesn't get announced and pursed.
