The original japanese version is good I'd say, if it's like the first online beta in the US.

The handling on the Jap version is slightly better than ours. At least you won't spinout everytime there is a turn

PAL PS2 version:

It had horrible controls...It was not a sim nor a drifter...It was just a game with nice graphics and horrible control...The track design was pretty poor.

If you ask me, Battle Gear 2 is a much better game. Worse graphics ? Sure...but it makes you stay in front of the console.
