Good for you. I'm not opposed to RE 8 having a third person mode, though I feel that the game should be experienced in its intended mode, but the DLC should have been in first person, because thats part of what people loved about RE 8, and the DLC is aimed at them.

It would be extremely odd for the DLC to be forced to the new 3rd person view but you're right, they didn't mention it being playable in 1st and 3rd...

The entire game is now playable in 3rd person. Plus this is kinda normal for RE DLC. 7‘s DLC was almost entirely based on different gameplay styles. From Chris’s action FPS to rogue-lite survival, and blackjack.

I think both views are awesome. I wouldn't mind if RE9 included both FPS and TPS out of the box. This way, players can play whichever way they prefer.

The DLC being locked to 3rd person, means that is the original experience intended, the story of ethan winters and his first person adventures are over.
