Check out the new gameplay trailer for Ripout, which 3D Realms will publish for developer Pet Project Games. Ripout is an Unreal Engine-powered cooperative first-person shooter with procedurally generated levels set aboard a derelict spaceship, where your weapon is a living entity that transforms and evolves over the course of gameplay. Ripout is expected to be released later this year for PC as well as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

If it's a no-frills co-op shooter without all the bells and whistles that eat up every interesting game right now just because some business economist is hoping for higher profits, then Ripout might end up on my wishlist.

I know the above post is worried about procedurally generated levels in a coop shooter, however this has been found to have some success if done correctly, Warframe and of course...

Sounds good, any information about :

-micro transactions
-season passes
-cut content for future dlc
-ingame shop with premium currency.

And this here's the real issue, and will dictate if the game is worth playing at all.

We went hands-on with a limited demo of Ripout, the upcoming next-gen first-person shooter horror game in which your gun is a living entity - your alien pet - that can be augmented and upgraded as you battle much worse aliens. Ripout will be out later this year for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Returnal was more procedurally arranged levels than generated. There was still a ton of handmade level design and world creation. Which may well be the case here too, I don't know.
