That kills the deal for me. I'd rather get the DC with the extra content (plus OST CD!) since my Prime and GCU discounts knock $8 off the price.

I paid $50 for it. Totally worth it. I'll also buy the DC when it comes out on PS4 next month. For $7.50, pretty much anyone who has an XBox One should have it.

Raiden is not a bullet hell like almost all Cave games are. It is more of a traditional shmup.

In other words: fewer bullets, but they travel faster.

As with earlier Raiden games there are many difficulty settings so just about anyone can enjoy it.

I'm pretty sure there is freeplay, but I don't use continues in shmups so I honestly don't remember. (and before you ask, no, I can't finish it, nor can I finish most of them)

The only thing that seems to be new with the Directors Cut is 2 player co-op. So it's really up to you if that's worth paying $40 for.

It also has a new stage. It would be nice if they could add it to the Xbone version as DLC, but that seems very unlikely.

Ah, I didn't know that they were adding an extra stage as well. I saw that some people were asking MOSS on Twitter about the Directors Cut content being added to the Xbone version, but they've been very wishy washy about the subject.
