The name of the game is Sonic Racing, not Shadow Racing. Regardless of whats selling, it makes no sense. It would make sense as usual to put both of them as rivaly racers.

While i agree, sega is definitely circle jerking nearly everything to be shadow related right now.

Once the movie comes out and the hype dies down they’ll probably put out another proper trailer

Always happy to see more karting games. Hopefully with the franchise being on a hot streak it gets a decent budget. Sonic Racing Transformed is second only to MK8D as my favourite ever karting game.

I appreciate the new “thing” for every release but Transformed was pinnacle of mascot kart racer. Team Sonic Racing sucked only for the fact it forces trio teams always.

it's literally called "CrossWorlds" so yes, it will have characters from other franchises.

Transformed was enjoyable and up there with mario kart . I skipped the last one personally i didn’t look as good as transformed.

I hope they bring back the flying mechanic for this one cross world could lead to flying mechanics

I really wish they’d do a remake of Sonic R, maybe even with a simple cell shaded aesthetic (not necessarily 64bit).

The characters should have been driving small go-karts instead of hiding them in big cars. It puts the character front and centre in the Mario Kart games. But nooooooo.... Sonic is too cool for that.
Since it's a universe where everyone run like a greased lightnin', why not just have them run like they did in Sonic R.

As for the "Why is Shadow everywhere?" thing, they paid good money for Keanu Reeves to voice him, so they need to milk it. It's the year of Shadow!

Because the title and trailer strongly hint at crossover characters. The question is whether it will just be with other Sega I.P. or if they will open the gates, Smash Bros style.
