If Star Trek did not have the godawful Discovery and Picard in existence
Season 2 of DISCO (With PIke) was really good. Season 3 had one good episode. But as bad as it is, it’s still better than the TNG Recycle Bin that was Voyager. In addition to recycling stories and rejected scrips, Voyager literally recycled effects shots from TNG like the Dyson Sphere.

Were there any good Star Trek games? I can't think of any. I enjoyed a lot of Star Wars games though like Knights of the Old Republic I & II, Republic Commando, The Force Unleashed etc.

I also liked the Knights of the Old Republic comic series by Dark Horse.

Discovery had interesting concepts sure but it had the worst possible execution of said concepts. Multiple storylines in the first season that could each have been its own season at least, all crammed into a gigantic mess. (Spore Drive, Klingon-Federation War and the Klingon Infiltrator, Terran Empire on steroids.) Not even going into the absolute wut of the Red Angel or
Lorca's complete waste as a character.

Star Trek 25th Anniversary and Judgement Rights. Point and click adventure games with the entire cast doing the voices. They’re on Steam.

There was a TNG one too called A Final Unity with the entire cast in it. But Spectrum Holobyte is long gone and the game is considered abandon ware. You can find it on various abandon ware sites and you can get it installed and running in DOSbox.

Great game if you're a fan of the original series and enjoy old-school adventure games. It has the original voices, actually the last time the main trio (Kirk, Spock, McCoy) were assembled together in their roles.

There's a similar game for TNG but it's not as good, honestly.

ST & SW are very different. little common other than the space setting.
ST is the more futurist fantasy. that's why it's a more popular template that has been copied like with like with Babylon 5 and Mass Effect.

and just got into Warhammer 40K and > ST&SW

The Kelvin-verse Star Trek comics are absolutely non-canon now, if there was any notion of them counting anyways.

In the comics, Picard and Q reunite and Q tells him Spock survived the Countdown story arc. This will most likely have nothing to do with that lol

edit: thought this was the Picard thread for a second

Wrong, we still have Lower Decks and Pike is getting his own (episodic) show.
Lower Decks is great. Got into a good rhythm by the end of the first season, I think they’ll really be able to do some great stuff next season. I hope they keep making fun of the dumb shit in Trek and continue doing their own thing.

Something modern Star Trek and Star Wars have in common is that they are both very political shows, so I'm surprised this thread is allowed to stay open.
