Stellar Blade is set to hit the market on April 26, but the game’s developer, ShiftUp, is already making preparations to kick off development on its next project. Recently, a change was made to the company’s website to include a reference to a ‘New Project’ that’s penned as being a ‘cross-platform next-gen project’, suggesting it’s a multiplayer title of some sort.

On the site, there are a series of job listings that are tied to this unnamed project.

Stellar Blade is one of the most highly anticipated PlayStation 5 exclusives – for a number of reasons. It’s definitely nothing to do with the curvy protagonist who has given rise to more than a few scandalous debates in recent weeks, that’s for sure.

Regardless of any issues anyone might have with the game’s main character, Stellar Blade is proving to be an energetic, high-octane, and satisfying post-apocalyptic action title. It was just a few days ago that the game’s demo was released to an eagerly awaiting audience, immediately garnering positive reviews from those willing to invest a little time in trying it out.

On the ShiftUp website (thanks to ShiftUpWorld), a reference has already emerged to the developer’s next project, which is unnamed at the moment. In the job listings that were found to be accompanying this project, a few details can be picked out:

  • It’s being built in Unreal Engine
  • It’ll be available on PC, console, and mobile
  • It’ll feature a range of ‘creatures and monsters’
  • It’ll boast ‘stylish action’ scenes
  • It’ll be a story-focused RPG game

If its on mobile as well will be another F2P game. Will be there day 1 to check it out. I have been playing Nikke since day 1, and after more than a year im far from thinking about stop playing it.
Consindering the engine and that will also be on console im curious if they go for the Genshin Impact route with an open world. Alot of new mobile games are following that direction.

Why is it that many mobile games come to PC, but not consoles. There are few exception of mobile games that I would like to play, but I don't have a PC. Playing on mobile is killing your battery health in 2 months.

On topic: Shift Up gave a great surprise with a game as Stellar Blade. It's weird but great to see good games outside of US and Japan.

Mobile has a lot in common with PC.
it's a device that can play games if you want to to play games on it.
Simple as that.
