Sorry, when your game is overstuffed with dozens and dozens of party members, it’s hard to appreciate the waifus. Hell, they take away the most prominent one for a good chunk of the game. Trigger at least kept its waifus easily available to be in your party and memorable.

While I think you are probably going above and beyond even what the team was thinking when creating the game, it was an interesting read with a theory backed by some interesting arguments.

I don’t think I am going above and beyond at all, except where noted. The problem is that people are so used to all encompassing schizo theories on the internet, they find it impossible to engage with legitimate literary criticism. Hamlet, for example, is infinitely stranger than Chrono Trigger; this goes not immediately invalidate everything written about it.

chrono trigger is a game that survives the ages and proves its worthiness as one of the best game ever, there are a lot of things that show this game is ageless. great thread buddy, detailed analysis that can be food for thought to read.
