The Day Before Found out Plagiarizing Call of Duty Trailer

The Day Before can't seem to catch a break, as the latest trailer for the game has caused developer Fntastic to be accused of plagiarizing from a Call of Duty trailer. Announced almost two years ago, The Day Before quickly became a sensation among gamers. After being delayed several times, and getting delisted from Steam for a bizarre case of trademark infringement, The Day Before sparked debates among consumers about fraudulent marketing. This new development, coming on the heels of two lackluster gameplay trailers being released, might have put even more fuel on the fire.

The Day Before is an open-world MMO with survival mechanics, and players will have to fight against flesh-devouring zombies and scavenge for supplies as they try to survive in a post-apocalyptic USA. In the earlier trailers, the game showcased players fighting against hordes of zombies and enemy patrols in an incredibly detailed world. From all the initial marketing, The Day Before looked really promising, with it becoming the second-most wishlisted game on Steam. But as time went on and the problems started to roll in, prospective consumers began to speculate if the game was just another case of smoke and mirrors.

We ain't outta here in ten minutes, we won't need no rocket to fly through space
This thing is a tech demo which demonstrates no tech. It's nothingware.

I don't get what their aim is with all of this.

Is it an elaborate troll or have they genuinely been taking money from customers/investors?

Is this what a bored art AI does when it isn't replicating and remixing van Gogh, Dali, Picasso etc?

xyz in Unreal engine 5 demos aren't that ultra hard to make since they are usually done by single persons. Here a team is creating some buzz around a project which lacks a creative director or whatever? Quoting specific scenes in particular situations isn't uncommon, copying so much though is a bit weird if you are not a spoof game, which you'd have to transparantly declare at some point unless you want some scam accusation to rise.

Oh come on, everything they are being accused of plagiarizing is generic as fuck to begin with.

They also stole bunch of concept art from other games as well. I don't have the links right now.
The Mall in Spiderman Miles lol

And CoD themselves have stolen from hollywood movies going back to Saving Private Ryan and Behind Enemy Lines. They literally copied and pasted entire sections out of Behind Enemy Lines. Shameless.

Even the memorable nightvision level in the latest MW is inspired by Zero Dark Thirty's bin laden raid.
