The Gamer: There Aren't Enough Reasons To Buy A PlayStation VR2 Right Now

I can only describe the Horizon CotM I played, and to me it is not climbing and climbing and climbing and climbing. I'd say it's under 50% climbing, and even less in the beginning areas.

But I don't play games and just run forward to the next area, so I actually look around and interact between climbs. If you just run by everything as fast as possible, then not enjoy it, I guess that's up to you.

The whole time you're climbing you're presented with nice views and different scenery and they do mix up the climbing/jumping. So I don't know. Maybe some people just don't enjoy the mechanics, and that's fine, but just because that is the case doesn't mean it's a bad VR game. Plenty of people had a great time with Horizon.

More assumptions.

Again, people who played the game multiple times have already timed it, theres very little not climbing between bad story scenes, and other gameplay that's comparable to mini games on the PSmove 12 years ago.

I still think there should have been gt and re bundles as well, but horizon grew on me a bit. After playing more I started to notice there's actually some subtly to the climbing that made it more fun. You can go quite fast if you pull just right to get a little jump and skip 1 or 2 handholds at a time.

Neither of those are VR2 games, they are $70 PS5 games. They aren't giving them away unless they bump the bundle price another $10-$20.

Lol, nah dude. If you want more VR posts - you make them. This kid has been banned numerous times now for this same tired trolling shtick.
I couldn’t do it even if I tried, I don’t agree on all his views but that’s no problem, I like the threads he makes because I’m too lazy to go out and search for the news myself.

Lol "this kid" you guys are accusing him of trolling and you're countering with with teenage insults?

Who cares if Sony made the list or not, way too much antagonism toward op in VR2 related threads. Which Ironically, is where most of the conversations about it take place. Skip the thread if you don't like it.

For a system so defended on here, there's very little chatter about it until he makes a news thread.

There is an OT that is always on the first page.

VR headsets will never been mainstream

If you have to purchase a $500 VR kit ontop of a $400-500 console, it's never going to get the audience to warrant all games publishers and developers to make VR games

And yet, somehow, Apple will turn a $3000 headset into a must have holiday item that sells hundreds of millions down the road. Should be interesting, I'm sure they'll sell out at any price even $5000 the first day.

Lol do you really believe this?
With such a price I think it’s going to bomb on a historical level and I say this as an Apple fan.

That the Apple headset will be $3000 or that the Apple headset will be a must have item?

I guess it depends on how amazing it is when they show it off at their keynote or wherever.

Both. It’ll be a flop at that price. Zero doubt. Would only be interesting as a concept.

VR honeymoon is over for me but I would still like to try PSVR2, see if the supposedly narrow sweet spot is a problem and if I can wear glasses etc.
But I don’t know a single person who has one and there are no demo stations.
🤷‍♂️
The talk has made me return to Quest 2 though, playing Moss 2 and I’m about to jump into Assetto Corsa right now, interested in Bone Labs and Red Matter 2 as well.
I wear glasses and there's been no issues at all. I imagine results would vary based on frames and face shape.

Nothing I stated was an insult, just an observation based on years of seeing him repeat the same thing.

There is literally an OT that is always on the front page. Maybe do a little research before you show your arse?

As someone who was a day 1 adopter of PSVR 1 and has a rift s, hands down PC is the better option. More games, more apps, and porn make it hard to beat. Honestly the only reason I give a shit about psvr 2 is for GT7 despite the fact that I own all the major PC sims.

So yeah Sony has an uphill battle against them given the cost and walled garden effect. They need to bring the exclusives and not rely on ports ports ports.
Sure a PC is better option if you live in the USA. Outisde USA if you want a good VR experience a PS5 is more budget friendly.

It’s too expensive to be considered an add-on, so I agree that it needs to show a full generational console-launch level of games & exclusives to justify that price point.

If you can't figure out im talking about post rate, I don't know what to tell you.

Steam deck ot is ~2k and it's been a year. You are way up your own ass over VR. You're not alone though.

Edit: I mean not alone because there's other people with their heads up their own asses, not other people's heads up your ass in there with you.

What are you even talking about? I was talking about post rate of the VR2 OT.

But It is an add-on. It's directly dependant on PS5 hardware.

Shit thats nuts. I thought for disc buyers DVD was basically dead. BR buying at minimum. Guess not. DVD has surprisingly held steady in your chart for 5 years!

Nope, blu-ray was a failed project. Even now it still can't beat DVD with both forms of it combined.

I think there's still room for a new format that can be standardized. But the amount of money spent trying to save something that has failed 17 years straight is a puzzling development that keeps going.
