Info via Lelouch0612 from Install Base:
Nintendo France revealed in an interview with Le Figaro that the latest entry in the Zelda franchise crossed 1m units sold at retail.

The Switch continues to sell strongly and should reach 8m units sold by the end of January 2024. It is confortably above the Wii and the Playstations, and only behind the DS.

Nintendo the GOAT!

By the way, here's the non-FIFA 1M+ sellers in a single calendar year this past decade in France:
  • 2013 - Grand Theft Auto V
  • 2015 - Call of Duty: Black Ops 3
  • 2017 - Call of Duty: World War II
  • 2018 - Red Dead Redemption II
  • 2020 - Animal Crossing: New Horizons
  • 2023 - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Tears of the kingdom was the beginning of something big for Zelda folks can’t get enough of ultra hand, ascending through ceilings, flying etc. I can’t believe it didn’t get a 10/10.
