Overpowered or not, one of the reasons Halo 5 multiplayer was utter dogshit was because nobody used any interesting weapons and all they ever did was snipe with the pistol. Most anti-fun weapon ever.

It's a great skillful starting weapon. Better than the BR. Halo works best when everyone starts with a weapon like the magnum/br.
