I like them both. One thing about Tidus, though, is his VA didn't suit the character for me. If you look at Auron and Lulu, for example, perfect fit. Tidus just seemed kind of off. Looking past that, I still really liked him as a character.

Tidus had better development I feel. Cloud still kinda broods even after the end of FFVII going into FFVII Advent Children.

That's the stupidest thing i have ever heard of. You must have never played FFX before. Tidus isn't an Alpha or a beta. alpha personality is stupid imo it mostly stems from insecurity. Tidus is a gamma. He is warm hearted and gentle but he doesn't take shit from nobody. He is a famous Blitzball player who is extroverted as fuck, he was always the first one to stand up for himself and his friends and never hesitated to face sin, he never gave up unlike Cloud. He is a bit slow tho, but nowhere near low IQ or stupid. Cloud is beta as fuck he is a total loser who has no personality.

I like Tidus, I felt his plight while navigating through FFX and the ending was pretty sad.

However, Cloud just fascinates me more with his story.

Tidus is more "normal", despite being a bit over-the-top and emotional. He could be you, or me, or a friend...

If I see anyone that reminds me of Cloud, especially if it were during high school or college days, I'm calling the cops. Talk about unstable.

I dont play FF games and I think anime characters are dumb looking anyway.

But if I had to pick which character is better. Cloud is better. His hair and sword the size of an 18 wheeler is bad, but Tidus' clothes are the worst ever. Not too often you see a dude wear one legged shorts showing off a knee.

Tidus is the better character, but has a much worse design; he’s probably Nomura‘s worst mc design overall (Noctis‘ jpop look is terribad too, but his design after the timeskip more than makes up for it).

It‘s such a shame, since the FF main character Nomura designed before Tidus was Squall, who is easily the best designed mc of the whole series (followed by Lightning).

Of course, as goofy as Tidus looks, Zidane is worse; he’s easily the worst FF mc from a design standpoint. Not even his great personality can distract from the fact that he looks like a retarded human-monkey hybrid. I always hated his look, and couldn’t believe that Garnet would hook up with this weird monkey child.

Cloud meanwhile just looks like a generic anime dude.

I can't think of any redeemable thing about cloud. I feel like he gives this emo aura which was like 90s thing. WoW So EdGy 🤯🤯

Tidus on the other hand is more human and more open to communicate and understand. Shit, people shit on tidus all day but in real life. But in real life, they will prefer a friend like Tidus than Cloud.

What happened to the random sonic hater? That kept telling everyone sonic is awful and how sonic boom is the best sonic game ever & kept sharing the same yongyea video over and over.

Not seen his crazy ass around in a while too.

Tidus and it's not even close! The happy positive guy who falls in love with Yuna. That is who I want to play as. Not some dark brooding psycho soldier who doesn't even know who he is. You guys are messed up in the head.
