A few years ago, i was packing off to Argentina with my sister to escort her to a friend's wedding. I had recently mentioned to her that i dug Oud, a scent that i think it's okay to say middle eastern men often wear.

She, being all about this kinda shizz, suggested an Oud scent by Tom Ford and, upon trying it, i thought "yes, this could be me" (Oud Fleur, not Oud Wood as you might have suspected!) Having no money i went to the local Myer (this was in Melbourne) and charmed the socks off the grandma at the fragrance counter and got her to give me two huge sample bottles of the stuff.

That was in, I'll say, 2017. I've yet to finish the bottles.

Just remembered to put some on this morning though and i feel like teh architect.

So i think I'll select "I might use some in the morning when i remember" in the poll.

How about you?

Got a bottle as a gift when I turned 18.

I had my 30th birthday this year and the bottle still has like a third left.

So about that much

Anytime I do something on my own (shopping), I never use any.

But anytime I go to work, meet friends for dinner or see fam, I squirt a spray or two.

LOL. I have never used an entire bottle ever either. Unless someone is squirting it every day, I dont see how anyone can use up a 100ml bottle. It's like lip balm or chap stick. You pay $5 and use up maybe 10% of it tops and then toss it in the garbage after winter is over.

They technically have expiry dates of some kind, but the length of time is a lot as the smell seems to be just as good after years. I've always toss in the garbage any bottles I have sitting around, half done or I want to try something new.

Every day when I wake up one spritz on my neck.

that’s from when I was 15? My dad used to give me Fahrenheit/ Dior. My female classmates love it lol.
Used for 10 year, now I use only Bleu/chanel. People at work, mostly girls always come to say how good I smell and the brand (before corona).

I do very short spray so I can’t feel it at all. I heard that if you can smell it is too much.

My dad also use everyday, the same one for 40 years? Damn I miss that smell.

Givenchy Gentlemen Only. Best cologne ever. I do the spray the air and walk through the cloud technique for special occasions. If I’m wearing slacks at night I’m doing the cloud walk.

i'm a guy. never really bothered with it. i'm happy with soap/bodywash, anti perspirant deodrant and body spray. however, people buy me stuff for christmas/birthday so i have bottles lying about so might as well use them. i don't use them every day just whenever i feel like it. i have 6 different ones right now and they will probably last me years. fun fact: i was gifted an aftershave in 2002/2003 and it's still lying in a drawer unopened :messenger_tears_of_joy: no doubt someone will buy me another bottle at some point so i'll never run out. it's just not something i'd spend money on myself. i don't see it as essential and have no interest in it. one i have was £95...no way i'd spend that much money on a smell. if i ever did buy one myself it'd be a cheap thing.

I have about 5 bottles and I used to use a spray every day before work, but since the lockdowns I’m not a big fan of any of them. There have been occasions where I’ve sprayed myself (once to the neck) then 2 minutes later I’ve washed it off.

Perhaps it’s those particular ones. They were all gifts, so maybe I need to go out and test some. Always seemed unnecessarily expensive to me, though.

Definitely not every day, probably like 30% of the time?

If I’m doing mundane, day to day stuff like work/errands/shopping then I won’t. But if I’m doing anything socialising then I’ll spray a spritz or two.

Yeah, not my thing, and in my experience most people that are into this kinda thing overdo it. If I can still smell you after you leave the room, it's too much!

I love cologne. Some of my current favorites here. The tobacco wood nights by Jesus del Pozo is probably my current fave. It smells like old leather jackets and cedar. I also love Tom Ford Tobacco oud.

The decorative bottle on the right is real oud from Bahrain. I got it at an oud store in Saudi Arabia.

I just buy whatever I think smells okay when I go to the mall. I'm not picky.

I'm done with it. I never wore it my entire life. Then my girlfriend got me some for Christmas. Every once in a while I put some on, the lightest single spray - and my girlfriend always got suspicious about why I was wearing it and got pre-emptively jealous over nothing. After two times of that, I threw it away. I'll stick to deodorant and call it good.

most days. i spray enough so that if you got close to me or i walked by you, you would notice, but not if you were across the room or something. it wears off by noon, but i love smelling good (my home always has wax melts going on), and it helps me feel fresh and clean and ready to take the day.
