The funny part is, I gotta wonder. How many of the searches were performed by net guys trying to find 'horrible' things to repost and prove how many sickos there are?

Judging by how common image macro trolling and the like is, I suspect it might account for an ironically large percentage of the searches. I have seen before where it seems like a major game played in those circles is "race to the bottom" - trying to find what is presumed to be the most awful thing to top the next most awful thing, which involves a hell of a lot of Google trawling.
