The Witcher 3 frame rate comparison comparing the framerate/fps on version 4.01 vs 4.00 on PS5 and Xbox Series X in the RT mode.

Patch 4.01 improves the performance of the Ray Tracing Mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X.

On version 4.01 both consoles are still targeting 3200x1800 via FSR 2 and use a dynamic resolution with the lowest internal resolution found on both consoles still being 1920x1080.

There may be some time of day variance in these clips. The missing shadow at the beginning of the video for PS5 version 4.00 can sometimes be missing on 4.01 too http://bit.ly/3RQWPKA

The quality of screen space reflections has been improved with patch 4.01.

Nice improvements, i wonder if its all optimization or they reduced the RT quality. The shading/AO seems a little bit better on the 4.0 patch but it may be due to time of day difference.

I so want to play this again on PS5 but need to clear out some backlog first. This remaster looks great. And I can never get enough of the Witcher 3. A masterpiece.

it's a slow rpg. I would want to make it look as best as possible.
30 fps can be fine. Not played this one on ps5 though. Maybe it's bad type of 30fps.
For sure I can tell you, the witcher 3 rt barely runs on my 3080

There seem to be a larger improvement on PS5 but this is still pretty far from being ideal. Maybe this version should be allowed to tear slightly just like the XSX version to become more stable.

We need uncapped framerates in games. 80-120fps with VRR feels so good.

Most console games can't go this far lol

Sony Is leading the way here with uncharted 4 remaster 60fps+ mode (same goes for spider man, Ratchet and TLoU 1).
