On May 19 2020, Wasteland 3 welcomes new recruits and seasoned Rangers alike to post-apocalyptic Colorado where the end has just begun. Premiering on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC, and available now for pre-order on Xbox One, Windows 10, and Steam.

thinks Halo Infinite is a new graphical benchmark
World in the game looks like it has a lot of substance and a great chance for Xbox gamers to experience this type of game.

is it me or the graphics looks like shit? i mean i know you don't play these games for the graphics but even a game like mutant year zero looks almost a gen ahead compared to this one...

Naw, you're right. It doesn't exactly scream 2020.

Unity!

Really loved Wasteland 2. Incredibly how much this saga evolved lol, previous ones graphically speaking looked kind of amateur.

Since Mario & Rabbids Kingdom Battle got me into the strategy turn based RPG's, I have played Mutant Year Zero base game and expansion while waiting for Wasteland 3, Gears Tactics and Desperados 3.

Wasteland 3 looks a lot better than it did a few years ago as it should considering Microsoft now owns InXile. Only negative for me is the May 19th release date. Way too close to TLOUP2 considering this will easily be a 50+ hour game. So barring an onslaught of new releases in the summer, this will be the game I play after TLOUP2 and Tsushima.

While 2020 has been very low for me in quantity, the quality is easily going to make up for it including Wasteland 3.

The game is ugly, isn't it? I'm playing Wasteland 2 now on Gamepass and I don't know why this franchise has a following. I just want the game to end so I can finish it already.

Dev Diary shows off character creation, combat, and more

In any RPG like Wasteland 3, character creation, specifically your skill build, is incredibly important. The quirk system lets you equip characters with powerful traits that come with equally powerful detriments. You’ll need to carefully select which traits to take, as there is always a cost. Fortunately, inXile is putting an emphasis on making your stats as visible and understandable as possible. You should have all the information needed to make smart choices about your builds. And, if you need some help thinking up interesting builds, the video above has a few nifty pointers.

Wasteland 3 is also making a key change to its combat system. Instead of using an initiative system to decide who goes when the game has all of your party going at once. This means you’ll be able to toss together combos, but also means your enemies all attack at once. That said, this evolution seems like a smart move. It should make it much easier to plan out attacks and keep your team flexible in the heat of battle.

The video also shows off some of the cool cosmetic options available. Most of these revolve around your Kodiak battle tank; however, I would be surprised if they don’t give you similar options for the gear your team uses.

Wasteland 3 launches on August 28 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Be sure to keep your eyes locked on DualShockers for further updates.
