Finished Dark Souls 3 and the expansions and killed all the bosses. Did a playthrough on PS5 at 60 fps. Felt very good. Huge difference from base PS4. Now I'm ready for Elden Ring.

A couple - Forza Horizon 5 for the daily MS reward achievement and Prey as my main game. Love how System Shock-y it feels.

Finished Metro Exodus (got the good ending).

Eh ... I think the game was overhyped by fans. It certainly looks great on PS5 and they did some great things with the DualSense, but otherwise I didn't much enjoy the gameplay or design, and there were many annoying bugs. The game discourages fighting, but then makes stealth more difficult that it should've been. Needing to reload all the time because the takedown prompts don't appear or because the enemy AI becomes suddenly telepathic was annoying.

Now playing Hades. Wish me luck! LOL! :D

Wrapped up It Takes Two with a buddy. It's like a long series of Mario Party mini-games. I wish it were about 50-60% shorter. meh.

edit: also lol these japanese games and their tutorials. They have tutorials for tutorials. I opened a music player and they gave me a tutorial. "DUURRRR THIS is a music player it lists songs and the artsists that made them DURRRRRRR" I mean Jesus Christ are all japanese people fucking retarded and need to be told in minute detail how to do even the most trivial of things?

Finally got lucky enough to finish the fckn cave challenge in The Witness, took me days of suffering i was just about to quit. I'm no trophy hunter and had no platinums and said if I'm gonna have one this gonna be it. 15 additional hours later I managed. Took me 55 hrs playing the game. RDR2 took me 59, 🤣.
Now on to Dragon Quest XI.

Playing Battlefield 2049 and having a blast. The more I play, the more I enjoy it. I was lukewarm initially, but I’ve really begun to understand the flow of the matches now that the player count is upped and that has made all the difference. I also thought the specialists were going to be too awkward but they really are more subtle and are just another means to customize your play style along with the gadgets. I would just like more large conquest maps and some more specialist variations and I’m set. Yes, there are some bugs, but they’ve not impacted my experience much, I’ve just adapted as usual.

Wtf. The game is mostly puzzles and platforming.

Just finished Psychonauts 2. It was a damn good time. Mopped up a few of the last achievements after the credits rolled, but I’m not very inclined to go back grab the last ten percent of figments I have left or the last few psi cards, psi cores and baggage. I think I’m done with it.

Obsessed with Horizon 5.

Trying to play It Two and The Division with my friend.

Started a new game of Reach but I think I should just keep playing Infinite MP till December 8.

Wtf. The game is mostly puzzles and platforming.

And the quality of the platforming is b-tier, much like the activities found in Mario Party. It is serviceable at best and while the new abilities in each chapter add variety, everything in the game overstays its' welcome. The Street Fighter Squirrel section was almost worth the slog though...almost.

PC: Hitman 3
Forza 5
Guardians of the Galaxy

Switch: Metroid Dread

Getting a bit overwhelmed in Forza everytime I start it, but after 5 min I can ignore all that and just drive around and do some races here and there.

On console Exodus is one of the worst feeling games I've ever played. On last gen consoles it was even worse with 30 fps. It's the type of game where the trying to aim and hit any fast moving enemy is impossible due to the input lag and bad deadzones on controller. Another one was shadow of the tomb raider on last gen at 30 fps. So much input lag. Try to shoot a rabbit in that game I dare you.

Purchased Crosscode, Shovel Knight Treasure Trove, and Ducati 90th Anniversary yesterday as they were on sale.

Only an hour into Crosscode and this game is fantastic so far. Loving the music. Only finished the first level on Shovel Knight and it's good too. The platforming feels precise and not annoying like so many other games. Haven't tried the Ducati game, but it was only 2 bucks either way.

Rivet and clank ;)

It sure is pretty. Gosh Insomniac can make a smooth looking game.

It's still very fun to play and looks bad ass. It does feel a bit culturally forced (that’s current Insomniac for ya) and that the series needs to be shelved after this. I mean how many entries have we had?

It’s a nice showpiece game for ps5.

Recently finished Little Hope. Enjoyed it though some of the jumpscares got tiring.

I've got Bloodborne and Dark Souls 2 in my backlog. Not sure which I'm gonna go for. I've played and beat Sekiro and Dark Souls 3.

DRG | Been playin a ton of Deep Rock Galactic now that I have some friends to play with. Great co-op fun. They just started a free 'season' with your standard battlepass tier thing. Wish there was a little more variety in the mission structure... I really like just the straight resource dives.

EXO One | Played about an hour or so thus far.. It's like controlling a perpetual skipping stone in space. The concept of the 'gravity drive' and how it operates is pretty cool. There was one moment when your use your gravity drive and the gravity of a nearby asteroid to help slingshot you toward a waypoint.. hoping there are more levels like this.

Melvor Idle | Pretty slick looking idle game with a lot of depth. My favorite idler at the moment.

BF2042 | After dealing with the blackscreen bug after the update finally got it working again last night and actually got into some games that were fun. That first week of pre-launch access was a bit rough. The scale of some of the maps feels a little too big to me. I know that's an odd critique for a BF game where scale is king.. but if i cant get a vehicle, it can be a lot of walking around waiting to get sniped.

Vanguard | Barely touched it after launch. I like it... but I don't feel that pull to play it 24/7.. maybe I'm just aging out as an older gamer. The whole warzone focus feels like a mess. And the majority of the 'battlepass' is just warzone/blackops stuff. How about stuff for Vanguard only? I've told myself this before.. but maybe it will be true this time.. might be my last COD.

HALO Infinite MP | Pretty solid MP. Never been big into HALO, but hot damn, just plays really smooth/fair/fun.

Dark Souls 2 seems like the given choice as it can be only a matter of time before Bloodborne receives either a bigger Remake/Remaster or a 60 fps upgrade.

The original version of A Link to the Past. I've been playing it through from the start again and it's been great. It's such an awesome game. Just got the moon pearl and finally found the magic hammer, so I can progress.

Decided to finally play Soma. I think I had slightly too high expectations of it after hearing a lot of praise for it. Visually and mechanically felt quite rough to begin with but as the game went on I got more invested in it. It's definitely not a masterpiece but really enjoyed my time with it.

Finished Persona 3 FES on PS3. I think I logged in about 170 hours.
Only thing left to do is to tackle the hidden boss, but to be honest I don't think I would want to run thru the game again just for that battle.
Now I'm watching the anime/movie version of the Persona 3 now - and while it's not bad - it kinda cemented that I am not clicking with P3's story.

Maybe I'm a bit persona'ed out a bit. I know in December they'll announce something, but in the mean time, thinking about either re-starting RE7 for 4th time (I gave up in the middle..) or my journey thru Yakuza series (4 in order)

-Replayed Inside. Still not sure what to think about it. I like it more than Limbo but I'm not sure I like it. *shrug*
-Still playing FH5. The map is great but the concept is starting to get long in the tooth.
-Hit HR100+ on Rise. Also did all the activities for the Sonic costumes.
-Playing Dragon Quest XI S and am really enjoying it. There is something wholesome and pure about the experience.

Completed Travis Strikes Again. I think my expectations were way too high. Still better than 2 though.

On to Gun Gun Pixies.

Bailed out of Reach. Got my five bucks worth in the first few missions.
Going to try to get back into Control.

Finally playing Outriders. Level design is like a x360 game, the voice acting sucks, the environment graphics are awful, the sound effects are some of the worst I’ve heard, the UI is ugly as hell…but despite all that I’m actually enjoying it.

The PC version is quite a lot better than the console versions thanks to mouse and keyboard and much higher frame rates.

From your list, I've played a little bit of gotg and beat ni no kuni 2 late last year. So far I've liked gotg, but ni no kuni 2 was a game I really enjoyed, so if you like action jrpgs, you'll probably have a good time.

Tavern Master on PC. Relaxing little sim where you build and maintain a medieval tavern. Cheap and fun. Making the kind of inn I would love to do if I had the money and knowledge how to do so in real life.
