It´s sequel time...

Microsoft Rewards made me play it and I cannot stop now:
State of Decay II (XSX)
Peggle II (XSX)

Returning to
Horizon II Forbidden West (PS5)
(but it`s a rough ride after my time with Elden Ring)

dead rising 3 and its pretty fuckin siiiiiiiick

lot of fun 'doing all the things' in this game. there are more places to explore than i remember, i like that you dont really have to escort survivors anymore (although it could be super fun in dr1 and 2), killing zombies is funner than ever even better than dr1 and 2, the psychos still arent great but its a big improvement over dr2 which are by far the worst in the series, and traversing/parkouring around the city is fun as hell!!

i dont think its on sale anymore but if you ever have a chance to grab dr3 for under $10 you should pick it up. it has some issues like clunky movement and picking up/dropping items can be problematic, i think they have too many variations on some combo weapons they just get monotonous after a while, the zombies tend to latch a little too much for my preference sometimes they even lunge from 5 feet away and somehow get me, i also dont like how your character wont squeeze or 'slide' around a zombie they will just get stuck and wait for the zombie to attack and then wiggle around them, and other small gripes.

but over all its a blast and i hav to reccomend to anyone, but keep it mind it starts off a bit tutorialy and slow, but once it opens up youll have plenty of space and time to run around and go crazy. they give you really powerful vehicles and weapons right at the start (well, after the intro/tutorial part).

I'm downloading it right now. I can't really remember that much about the first two games. The most recent Dead Rising I played was number four and I enjoyed that. Hopefully number three will be just as good, if not better.

Yep, I just bought DR3 for like $8 a few days ago. Looking forward to trying it.

did yall every give it a go? what do you think about it?

Haven't tried it yet but your impressions make me want to! Glad its fun.

Been playing a couple of very old horror games: Rule of Rose and Phantasmagoria. First time playing Rule of Rose and around my third time playing Phantasmagoria.

I've assembled a little list of old horror games to play and these are:
Clock Tower 3
Kuon
Hellnight
Obscure
Chaos Break
Haunting Ground
Silent Hill 1 and 2

The only games there that I've played are the two Silent Hill games tho' I've never finished either.
Noice list! Love CT3 and HG, great hide and seek horror duology that deserves to be remastered to current systems and PC

I loved both HZD and HFW, but you're right.

I can't wait for Horizon 3. The game that launches next to it will be game of the decade.
Lol yup
It’s quite remarkable really, Guerrilla’s games has always improved from their previous games but somehow still end up seeming like they miss the mark because of what’s releasing the same time.

Reached the final boss of Metal Slug without losing any lives. Got nervous and got killed three times before downing the boss... but hey, almost there!

Still playing Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, but since I am kinda hungover today I wanted to try something comfier, and started DQ Builders on the Vita. Haven't played a lot but so far it looks like a fun diversion.

More or less Shining Force III Scenario 1. Gonna try finishing Chapter 3 today; could have finished it earlier last week BUT I spent a lot of time grinding the party up a few levels because they felt under-leveled. Can't wait to drop Eldar; great movement options that aren't impacted by terrain but otherwise they've been quite useless.

Took a slight break from HFW the past week or so but mainly because I didn't take time during the week for a few late night sessions, but I'll be able to do that this week thankfully. I'm going at a somewhat glacial pace for now but that's fine in my book; probably closer to summer I will have time to sink more consistent hours and sessions into it. I might focus on more story missions and save side missions for weekends, because I do want to see more of the story at this point plus the side content's always there to come back to regardless.

Did one of the latter updates add time-of-day transitions to the game? I could've sworn that wasn't present before, but it's been really cool watching the time of day transition about 😁

Horizon Forbidded West (PS5)

Holy smokes it looks stunning. I knew it was gonna be pretty but damn, first thing to actually feel next-gen.

Game is fun too. I don't mind going back to some chill traditional open world after Elden Ring. Combat is good and so far exploring the beautiful world is cool. Not sure if I'll be motivated for 100+ hours, we'll see.

Getting ready to sell my PSVR so playing a few last titles.

Ace Combat 7 VR Missions: Really fun missions and dogfighting in VR is superb. It's so intuitive and natural to locate the enemies by looking over your shoulders and above your head. Graphic resolution is low though so it's hard to make out the enemy types even when they're close.

Resident Evil 7: Beautiful game. Love the atmosphere and characters. I'm so used to room-scale games, it's tough going back to manual turning in PSVR, especially with Resident Evil since it's like going back to the old tank controls. Combat though feels dated- you aim with your head. Seems there's a mod for the PC version to add VR so giving up on PS version.

Sadly despite being a grown adult and living my own life I have been grounded for the first time in two decades...

And it's awesome.

Watch_Dogs (the first one). Game actually feels like a breath of fresh air in 2022. I like the serious tone and grounded setting. Combat and shooting is amazing.

It still looks great with few mods to restore that E3 look. There's something about Ubisoft games from 2014. This and AC: Unity ages like wine.

Just 1CCed Metal Slug on Level 4.

Already did it once back in the day, after many weeks of practice. This time it didn't took that long, thankfully. :goog_relieved:

Game is amazing. Great pixelart and soundtrack. Bosses are on the weak side, specially if you arrive at them with the tank and a few (20 or 30) grenades, which is kinda easy once you learn the stages.

I think I can do much better score wise though, left some prisoners behind which made me lose the "Great!" bonus on a few stages. Might try again on Level 8... but not today, that was enough Metal Slug for one day. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Right before the final stage (?) of Hyrule Warriors - Age of Calamity. Logged in about 60 hours. As far as content completion goes (challenges) - I'm at about 75%.
I tend to finish all side quests - so I think I still have good 20-30 hours to go.
Not sure if I would do the all the Korok though - it seems manageable, but not too thrilled to revisit those lengthy story stages, which doesn't allow much exploration.

Some of the difficulty spike is pretty noticeable towards the end. I failed several times dealing with the multiple lynels attacking me simultaneously, with no apples/rods allowed.
(I ended up using cooking method which I never had to do in any of other challenges... the revival fairy + increased damage + increased defense via consuming food before entering the stage)
And there was a situation that I had to deal with 5-6 guardians simultaneously in one section... but at least I had plenty of apples & rods.

I am enjoying the game, but kinda wanting to get it done and move on to be honest at this point. I bought the game for my interest in the story and how it would flesh out the characters...- but that department have been very flat unfortunately. No real character building and Zelda's same inferiority complex just feels little too dragged out. But it does presents a ton of different characters to play, and ton of content/stages.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
All the emulator talk has got me started on my long overdue Silent Hill binge.

Started SH Origins today. Will do SH 1, 2, 3 and 4 as time goes and pending no game being out (i-e gonna pause the binge when Sniper Elite comes out).

Finished:
Life is Strange True Color and wow, what an amazing game. I would never buy it, but to essentially rent it and bang it out in a day with a decent story - chef kiss.

Playing a bit more Apex Legend Mobile as it’s probably the most addictive BR I’ve played on any device. LoL Wild Rift has been on the back burner.

Playing Lost In Random next.

Been playing Super Robot Wars 30 And SD Gundam G Generation Genesis for a month now.

Mostly replays and just farming stuff. I play while watching the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard case. Basically just playing to tide the downtime during the case.

Platinumed SRW30 but got put off going for the platinum in SDGGG because I max leveled the warships but got my stats wrong which are permanent in this iteration.

Beat Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. It was pretty much what I expected, just borderlands with a fantasy theme. Also made some good progress in ff12.

Not sure what I'll play next, but there is a bunch of stuff that is either out now or coming out soon that interests me.

Dropped RDR2. Sometimes I am annoyed at myself. I read books. I have seen the good movies.

Everything RDR2 does was done better 50 FUCKING YEARS AGO.
BETTER.
NO THE WRITING IS NOT GOOD YOU FUCKING CLOWNS.

Nurse I will take my medicine now.
It‘s a character driven story, like most stories these day in any medium. Meaning, it‘s all about characters development and not much about actual plot points. RDR2 does have great characters but I have to say that I‘ve grow to hate this in the past few years. Blame the emerging popularity of TV series for this. I don‘t care about how this or that minor crap changes this character in the long run, I want actual events to happen. Most games and movies feel like short (movies) or long (games) TV episodes these days.

Rushing through Halo Infinite to get that under 8 hours achievement. Even skipping most of the open world stuff, it still feels so good to play. That sound you hear after a kill never gets old.
