Best "one and done" game ever made?

If that's borderline, which is ridiculous since you're just using the Vita as an alternate display and input method but it's still running on original hardware; there are far more egregious border cases of games that you can actually run on a different generation of hardware. For example, any of the games available through PSN Classics or Virtual Console. War of the Monsters for instance is available through that method. I'm sure plenty of others are as well.

I don't think the Remote Play rules Tokyo Jungle out, I think the fact that there's a PSM version of the game rules it out.

I was going to say 1998's Exile on the BBC, but it looks like there was an Aiga version a couple of years later. Anyway great game!

Well already been mentioned but Breakdown was the first that came to mind. Happy that it got mentioned by others. Sad that it meets the strict requirements for this thread.

Also really liked Voodoo Vince. Think it qualifies.

Isn't the PSM version a completely different game? I thought it was some grid based strategy title or some shit.

They have PC versions, which is somehow equivalent to having a sequel in OP's bizarre personal re-defining of the phrase "one-and-done."

They are on PS3 as well. Limbo is also on Vita/PS4/XB1.

OP's parameters for what he meant were clearly defined. Nothing bizarre about it that I can see.

Eternal Darkness is the one that immediately jumped to mind for me.

TLOU, but that is getting a sequel so only a temporary inclusion.

I loved 3d dot game heroes.

Does Jade Empire count? Did it ever have any re-releases? Ive been wanting a sequel to this game forever. Its probably my favorite bioware game. I wish the game had some out on PlayStation. I have a feeling we would have had sequels had it been multiplatform.

Ah man, ya'll left out Willy Beamish Sega CD? And Snatcher.

Willy Beamish is a port of a PC/DOS/Amiga/Mac game. Snatcher was already an existing game on Japanese computers that also had ports for the PC Engine CD ROM , Sega Saturn and Sony Playstation.

No one's mentioned Ranger X for the Genesis yet.

Oh, this is a good one. I thought that this game was released on VC. But I guess it wasn't.
