Call of Duty Black Ops 3: Zombies Chronicles DLC (May 16th!)

So a few weeks ago I made a thread professing my love of Call of Duty Zombies. Towards the end I made the suggestion of Treyarch releasing a classic map compilation disc with little to no hope of that ever happening. I was wrong.

Jason Blundell of Treyarch goes onto Zombies Youtuber's channel to make the announcement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2zwOnvnM1Fw
$30 USD
Trailer:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uTDtbs2jZ4

DLC includes classic maps:
Nacht Der Untoten
Shangri La
Kino Der Toten
Moon
Shi No Numa
Ascension
Verruckt
Origins

Notes:
-This is DLC for Black Ops 3 and not a standalone download.
-Preload available Sunday May 14th
-Phd Flopper has been removed from all maps due to the lack of the dive mechanic in Black Ops 3.
-Pre order contains PS4 theme.
-20 vials of Liquid Divinium.
-Exclusive Pack-A-Punch camo.
-2 new gobblegums.
-Ray Gun mk2 will be available on every map.
-Maps contain Black Ops 3 guns with some exceptions from World at War and Black Ops 1.

This is maybe one of the most fan servicey things I have seen in recent memory.

Should of got Mob of the Dead in there but I understand from a story perspective why they didn't.

Guess I gotta pull out my copy of BO3, haven't played that shit in forever.

OMG! I really wanted to play the previous Zombies maps, Black Ops 3 was the first COD I owned and I really like Zombies!

I'm really looking forward to playing this on my PS4!

So this arrive as a DLC for Blops III, as a standalone disc release or both? Don't want to sound like a jerk but I don't have 26 minutes to spare in order to watch that video right now.

Edit: Oh, It's just DLC for Blops. Thx.

I can't really get over this shot...

So weird seeing DLC for Blops 3 given Infinite Warfare has been out for awhile and WWII was just announced. Although given how popular Blops 3 still is I guess its not too strange.

Wish this was standalone but I may pick it up if the price is right.

This is awesome, I wish Buried from Blops 2 was included but I have Blops 2 on X1 for that. Will be getting for sure.

Pretty cool for him to show up at his house rather than take the Youtuber to some sort of studio setting.

Is this the most DLC a Call of Duty has gotten?

Pumped, can't wait for more Zombies. Expected some maps aren't there, having to get back old voice actors and the like, probably not worth the hassle.

Would be nice if they put this together with Black Ops 3 and drop the price a bit so I can double-dip on PC since they released the map tools.

Wait to see if this will even be available separately or just through BO3 before even considering that there might be a physical version, and wait for a price before calling it fan service because it may very well have a $60 price tag on it, for DLC. I wouldn't put it past them.

Yeah, I have trust issues with Activison, lol.

Either way, I'm looking forward to learning more and will buy if the price is decent.

Sad we don't get Call of the Dead (best map by far) and understandable, but this is nice from Treyarch and the best swan song for BO3 DLC.

No way they would price it anywhere near $60. That would be so far out of line with the pricing of the other map packs alone.

I'll say $15-$30 max as it's been about $15 alone for each pack which has had 4 maps.

Is this apart of the season pass?

Don't believe so. Season Pass stated it was for the 4 map packs anyway. Would be nice to see if there's at least a discount, but I won't hold my breath.

I like how Blundell casually drops a map of the entire storyline and it looks just as convoluted as the actual story.

Excited. Too bad there is no Mob of the Dead, since that's my favourite one.

Hoping for a season pass discount but I won't hold my breath. Probably gonna cost something ridiculous like $30.

Also May 16th is quite soon.

May 16th for every platform ? Or just PS.

And I doubt it's just 20 bucks. This is activision. It'll be 30 at least.

Black ops 3 gets the DLC instead of infinite warfare ?

Higher player base or something I'm guessing ?

I'd love this because I have some really good memories with those Black Ops 1 maps (especially Ascension) but fuck Black Ops 3. I really dislike that game and refuse to drop any more money on it.

Treyarch started Nazi Zombies, so they're bringing almost all the maps from the previous games since WAW into Black Ops III for one complete package, not unlike what they did for Black Ops 1.

Plus, I don't think people realize how split the overarching COD community is between these three games (COD4, BOIII, and IW), there's still plenty of money to be made of Black Ops III.

Where the fuck is Five?!

That Eminem song was stuck in my head because of that level.

Five, Call of the Dead, and Mob of the Dead aren't coming. Likely due to the celebrities being unable re-record their lines again.

All these maps are the ones that included the Original Four characters, and since they're made of VA veterans anyways, it isn't an issue (Steve Blum, Nolan North, Fred Tatasciore, and Tom Kane).

They can replace the characters with someone else they don't need the celebrities

Don't look at me.

Plus, the celebrities were essential in the story anyways. Only thing it doesn't explain is Five, but that's a boring ass map, just like Kino.
