I'd be more excited for Valentina vs JJ honestly.

These 2 ladies deserve some praise for wanting this to happen.

^^I doubt the commission would let that happen, even if JJ is game.

Sucks that Nunes is out of the fight, I was looking forward to the rematch.

Friends, I cannot remember a fight that ever happened without a weigh-in the previous day. Let's not get our hopes up.

When's the last time the UFC had a replacement fighter the day-of, who was not a part of the card?

My guess would be never.

It's never been more than a day's notice.

Tim Sylvia was scheduled to fight Andrei Arlovski for the vacant UFC heavyweight championship back in the day - Tim got popped for steroids a day before the fight and Wesley Correira took Tims place - turned it into a non-title fight though.

The latest after I can remember was when Guy Mezger was supposed to fight Tito - Guy had a stroke three days before the fight and that brought in Patrick Cote to main event.

We're supposed to believe this 40 year old man is still not on something?

Oh he is on something... just of matter of time until they find out what it is. I know nothing though but he does not look natural at all. And i did notice that Nunes looked "chunkier" in the embedded episodes (she had love handles), i was wondering if she was gonna make weight... lol.

I doubt JJ can get medicals done on this short of notice unless that "UFC Doctor" can make some magic happen.

It's good to know Dr. Nick Riviera has moved on to a good position.

It is a bummer. I mean I get it she was trying to make it to fight night but had she even pulled out 24 hours before we could have had JJ vs Valentina

Because it’s after weigh-in time. That’s why it was the worst possible time for Nunes to pull out. She was feeling sick for over a week, should’ve pulled out earlier.

Aw that's a shame. Just read they need a minimum of 24 hours notice. Still gonna be a fun night. Whittaker Romero alone is a PPV worthy fight imo.

So wtf? The doctor said Nunes was clear and she didn't want to fight?

I get it, sinus infection + being punched in face + cardio = fuck that shit but eh...also TMZ...ehhhhhh

TMZ Sports has learned Nunes complained this week about not feeling well and went to the hospital both Friday and Saturday. Our sources say doctors repeatedly checked her out but found nothing wrong. Nonetheless, Nunes said she was not well enough to fight Saturday night and has pulled out.

I knew Amanda Nunes was scared of that fighter she already beat. That's why she did a full camp, paid for it, all to not get paid to fight at the very last minute.

Nice try, but I'm on to you. I believe Dana White and his in-house doctor.

She really thought she can pull the wool over our eyes. What a goof.

Valentina would have likely beat JJ short notice or not. Still would be a really fun fight and when UFC opens the 125 division they will likely fight there.

I'd rather both fighters wait a month, so that the correct title fight can happen.

If Shevchenko fights tonight, its likely she wont get a shot at Nunes soon. Which is BS. And I think Nunes will win.

At the very least Shevchenko deserves her show money for tonight. and the fight next month.

Not her fault her opponent pulled out so late as to deny her a fight.

I wonder what PPV bonus she might have missed out on too.
