Ghost of Tsushima - new leaked footage

Why did you mention the Souls games specifically then with an implied negative connotation?

I'm trying to make a point. How can AC animations be trash if they are better than Souls animations which you say have amazing animation? If these same animations were in a Souls game, no one would say shit. People here are trashing this game (which will prolly be fine, based on Odyessy and Origins) just because it's UBI.

But no AC has better animations than either Dark Souls 3 or Sekiro, it's been a while since I've played Bloodborne so I'm going to leave that one out. Sekiro specially shits on anything in any AC game with mighty fury and vengeance.

What the fuck is up with the hideous red X flashing before (what I assume are) unblockable attacks? Jesus they stick out like a sore thumb and aren’t at all aesthetically consistent.

That shit just looks amateurish at best considering the realistic nature they say they’re striving for; I hope there’s an option to turn it off.

Yeah, they use the wind to suble indicate you the direction and then they fill the screen with gamey ass indicators during combat.

I bet you can disable these, i think i even saw the option in one of the leaks...

Edit: yep, it's confirmed, you can disable them.

No PS4 exclusive thread is complete without console-war mongers slandering the game in question.

Those who are complaining about this game so far, will not gonna buy this game or even interested to play. They just want to see this game to fail. LOL. But sorry, this game is just too good to be a failure.

The animations looks pretty good in regular combat, can't say I really care for the "thrown by bear" animation, the devs probably had a bit too much fun with that. I think it's a little unfair to judge a combat system from low res gifs. In the end combat is about how it responds when you hold the controler, videos don't help much with that. It could go either way, but from what I've seen I lean towards good to great combat. I'm really surprised it's been 5 pages of people saying the exact opposite. I guess we'll have a better idea in a few hours.

The thing that bother me so much about the game is the copy/paste death animation and lack of ragdoll.

I'm obsessed by a good ragdoll/interactivity and in a game with heavy focus on sword fights would have been so cool having a good feedback in battle. For the rest it looks really good and if the word exploration will be interesting, I see me playing it anyway.

Could be that the review scores and links have been already registered on meta by some sites and will pop-up once deadline hits.

- if less than 85: game is terrible, told you so
- higher than 85: Sony paid the reviewers, only user score matters

*50k non owners review bomb the game with zero scores*

Been trying to zero down what looked off now that we have higher quality footage and I think it's the many effortless foot steps the npcs take, even when charging at you. They lower the shoulder as a cue, then keep their upper-body stance "intact" while "running". So with poor quality footage the animations look as if transitions between animations are not taking place nor responsive to the player's position. I don't know if they animated it that way deliberately copying the movies or some source material/advice or a dev choice....

The people saying its janky are the same people watching videos where people dont know how to play the game and swing for the fences and dont use any tactics such as dodge, parry etc

Hope reviewers disclose what difficulty they're playing on so I know who to take seriously. The opinion of somebody playing on easy can be easily dismissed.
