Netflix Movies

Do you ever watch a Netflix movie and feel like this is just an old school made for TV movie with all the same cheese and a bigger budget. I'm watching a new one called "Things heard and Seen" and it is ok for a movie, some great actors, but man doesn't it feel like you could slap "lifetime" in the bottom right corner and you would be hard-pressed to tell it wasn't a Lifetime movie. I am not saying they are bad the just fall in a certain level of OKness.

What are some movies on Netflix ORIGINALS that you find cheesy and silly?

I can't think of any Netflix originals that are seriously corny besides the stoner or horror related stuff.

The best film I've seen recently on Netflix is MACHETE KILLS and it totally feels like a straight to DVD B movie.

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.
I actually think Netflix is catching their own groove. The movie they made with Adam Sandler, Uncut Gems was the best movie I watched last year for example. If that movie had been on theaters people would be talking about it like an ageless classic. The Irishman was pretty good too and nothing you would find as a cable TV channel production.

Certainly there are some amazing movies like Uncut Gems.....but there are some real cheesy ones too.

On Netflix, but not a Netflix movie. OP is talking about Netflix originals I think, obviously there are other movies on there.

While it is distributed by Netflix and is labeled and original outside the US, it is not a Netflix-made movie and had a theatrical release late Dec 2019. Will agree it is a good movie, though.

Netflix films appear to be mostly straight to DVD style affairs. They have a few big wins, but mostly misses.

I think their strength lies in original shows, which I've seen many from different parts of the world that are really well-done.

Like everything else on Netflix they are mostly crap, with a couple of standout ones which are decent.
Netlfix has this weird ability to take well known names in both acting and directing and somehow getting them to release direct to DVD trash

Would never in a million years watch this but seeing reviews of this trash has been entertaining.

It's sounds like Melissa McCarthy is Jack Black's fat movie parody character from Tropic Thunder.
