But Alex said right there and then that the Tier 2 VRS with that blurring is doing wonders. WONDERS.VRS Tier 2 confirmed on Series X
It looks considerably worse than the PS5 version IMO:

Bandwidth contention (probably). Why are consoles still having AF problems?
That's weird, XSX is pretty blurry in comparison to the others.VRS Tier 2 confirmed on Series X

No he didn't ,he said DLSS is doing wonders.Cut it out.
Yeah, I wonder what the perf difference is like with VRS on vs off. And if it's even worth turning it on if the texture and image quality get degraded like that. Weird it's not available for PC.That's weird, XSX is pretty blurry in comparison to the others.
If it leads to such a degradation, I’d rather not use at all TBHYeah, I wonder what the perf difference is like with VRS on vs off. And if it's even worth turning it on if the texture and image quality get degraded like that. Weird it's not available for PC.
I imagine XSS will look even blurrier with it enabled.

That’s what was said, but looking at it now I can’t say I’m impressed.I thought it was only VRS type 1 that blurs it like that. Isn't VRS type 2 supposed to make it unnoticeable?

That's a 400% zoom on a tiny area of the screen. At normal playing distances, it's likely not noticeable.. and most certainly not while actually playing and moving around in the game.If it leads to such a degradation, I’d rather not use at all TBH

Biggest difference I recall is the ability of Tier 2 to vary the shading quality in the same draw call (based on the mask you setup) while Tier 1 works per draw call.I thought it was only VRS type 1 that blurs it like that. Isn't VRS type 2 supposed to make it unnoticeable?
Reflections at higher resolution and of more objects do make a difference. Not huge but they do.Well, at normal viewing distances XSX is looking just fine… Can’t see much difference between the XSX and PC version at home.
That is common sense VRS trades image quality for performance.VRS Tier 2 confirmed on Series X

Well, I knew it would trade some IQ but I thought it would be less noticable. That is common sense VRS trades image quality for performance.
It's kinda embarrassing to listed VRS as a feature that advertise your game really. In most cases, it result in worst image quality. VRS is use to boost performance for God shake. MS should stop forcing this on their marketing. Let the developers use the feature and let the game performance gain do the talking. Here when I see this. I fucking cringe.
Was outriders a case of VRS or texture filtering?so better IQ and texture filtering on PS5 as always
