I don't know. I'm pretty sure the prison knows why the inmates are in there and they probably confirmed the guy is was a pedo. Why are you going to bat for a pedo?
I’m not batting for the pedo, but I stick by my earlier comment that death is the easy way out for them. I think a much better alternative to the death sentence is to chemically/physically castrate them, thus removing their ‘weapon’ of choice, and keep them on tag for life. And, of course, if they aren’t serving a life sentence, let everyone near them know who they are and what they’ve done. They’ll suffer for life.

Not something to be celebrated. There are many innocent people that have been convicted and are in prison and I don't think hardened criminals should be the barometer of morality for our society.
Agreed 100%

You all ever watch 60 days in? Nearly every single person locked up, other than the people on the show (but sometimes them too) were complete morons, and all around shitty people and liars.

Because outlaw justice isn't something that should be tolerated. We don't know who has been falsely convicted. Like right now you're trying to defend a guy that caned two people to death. So I mean I guess it's cool if I bludgeon you to death and I'll just call you a pedo afterwards and I'll be good. People lie.

You're ignoring this part to defend pedos:
Prisoner David Bobb, 48, died that day. Graham De Luis-Conti, 62, died three days later at a hospital. Both were serving life sentences for aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14.

“But this time, someone else said something to the effect of ‘Is this guy really going to watch this right in front of us?’ and I recall saying, ‘I got this.’ And I picked up the cane and went to work on him.”

fuuuuuuuuuck yes! that what im talkin about. savage and with zero remorse, less than they deserve tbh. im with S Star-Lord they deserved worse and id have liked to see them suffer worse for longer. but i can still sleep like a baby knowing the were bludgeoned to death with some good old fashioned street justice

Child molesters in politics is sadly nothing new. It’s been rumoured, and supposedly well documented, that there is a pedophile ring within the British government.
Cyril Smith was one of the most prolific nonces from what I've read. When ever I play Killing floor 2 I always think of him when I shoot up one of the Bloat's.

So one thing I don't understand about the current prison system. Prison is supposed to be a place where you put people to do the time while reforming them. If they are habitual offenders, then they can't be reformed and should be done away with.

No cable tv, no weights, no phones, nothing. Educational books only

(This guys should get an extra serving of cake and ice cream though)

I can't remember the documentary but I think it was about some massive prison riot in the UK, and one of the first things that the prisoners did when they had control of the prison was to break into the section where rapists and child molesters were being held and beat them to death.
Even murderers view them as subhuman.

I do think that it's a bit dumb and overly emotional how people treat it as worse than murder but at the same time on an emotional level I do too.
I think it's because of how inherently selfish the act is that I view it as worse emotionally.
Killing can in some circumstances have a practical purpose like in self defense or I am sure there are other crazy examples where it servers a different purpose.
Sexual violence on the other hand is always just about self-gratification on the expense of someone else and is totally pointless in the end, you're making someone suffer sometimes for life because of momentary gratification.

This is the case with a lot of murderers too, a lot of them do it for a high especially serial killers.
But the act in and of itself at least isn't inherently about that.
Dunno if that makes sense and it's definitely not consistent.
But it's why I find sexual violence inherently disgusting while murder I don't have the same emotional response to.

I read somewhere the treatments child molesters get from other prisoners is because of:

1. Children are a universal example of a family life, which all prisoners aspire to in some respect
2. Children, as opposed to adults, are viewed as weaker and more vulnerable - a lot of murderers that would not bat an eye about shooting a man in the face would never hard a woman or a child

Clearly a case of 'let them fight'. These pedo/murderer defenders always talk from their high horse, but they'd say the exact same thing as everyone else when it's their kid getting molested/murdered.

This actually extends to most crimes, most criminals view what they do as less bad than that of other criminals and often look down on other criminals.
I think that in this specific case there's just a much stronger emotional response to it just like there is for most people, but people also generally don't view themselves as evil.
I also think that it probably feels a bit gratifying too to be able to basically find a scapegoat too even if you're a murder, it's like '' yeah I killed people, but at least I ain't a child molestor ''.

There's probably some twisted sense of people wanting to not feel and prove to others that they're not the worst.
It actually even goes for murder and theft, murderers will often look down on thieves and think that stealing is immoral it's kinda bizarre.
