Holy shit. What did they do? This looks like absolute ass. At first I thought I was looking at HDR content in SDR, and the I saw the LOD. What on earth?
Yeah, it looks weird, not bad, but weird.

I hope more classic tracks return. I saw High-Speed Ring in one of the trailers. I know GT is about the cars but tracks are just as important.I have a good feeling about Grand Valley returning. Oh how I would love for Seattle to return as well. I would love to see their take on a street circuit with the new hardware.
I much prefer real tracks but there are some amazing classic GT tracks that certainly need to return. 100% agree on tracks being just as important. I’d take fewer cars if it meant more road.I hope more classic tracks return. I saw High-Speed Ring in one of the trailers. I know GT is about the cars but tracks are just as important.
Forza Horizon has a 30 fps mode but is not a 30 fps game as I don't know anyone who is picking the 30 fps mode over the 4k 60fps mode.Lmao Last time they compared PS4 pro version to PC and gran turismo still came out on top. Reminder Forza Horizon is a 30 FPS game
that didnt take long
Same with a lot of people who get a TV professionally calibrated (not copying settings from a Youtube video) so many people think a calibrated TV looks dull because they see TVs in stores cranked to max brightnessI see the same reaction to this as people react to audiophile headphones. No bass!
Bad!
Here it’s: not as oversaturated as forza? Not blingy bling with post effects? Bad
looks great. Pretty realistic. I like the new camera. Racing games cameras and sense of speed sucks…. I need to get drive club finally lol
Looks like they converted hdr video to sdr badly too
All of this can be fixed in time I hope.
I think the trees need reworked as they looked quite bad as well

no one will take it seriously. you should say ''it looks like an early ps4 game...''Looks like PS3 game
I’m the weirdo that likes insane contrast and unrealistically bright colors.Same with a lot of people who get a TV professionally calibrated (not copying settings from a Youtube video) so many people think a calibrated TV looks dull because they see TVs in stores cranked to max brightness
I think that's the difference based on view. GT has a "windscreen effect" so colors outside the car look different and more saturated from the in-car view. Sport has is too, in many tracks on bright conditions you almost get blinded and it's hard to see. Some people like it while others hate it, but it's intentional.Colours are definitely washed out. Gt7/gts comparison.
It looks horrible to me, I'm not trolling, that's what it is...no one will take it seriously. you should say ''it looks like an early ps4 game...''
That's how you troll amateurs.
you can literally just look above your postIt looks horrible to me, I'm not trolling, that's what it is...
2D people, JPG mountain in the background, shadows appearing in a short distance, low detail in the vegetation/circuit, bad reflections, hands clipping.
Definitely not intentional. The HUD is being affected here as well.I think that's the difference based on view. What should I look? You can see everything I said in the OP video. Maybe PS3 is exaggerated but it doesn't look better than PS4 games.you can literally just look above your post
The hud is transparent, probably that's why. The part of the HUD that's is inside the car looks correct. If you switched gt7 to an external view, colors would probably look about the same as your sport image. I'd post some sport images for comparison but I can't be bothered this late.Definitely not intentional. The HUD is being affected here as well.
Not Motorsport... For a 7 doesn't have better environments. Their trees are flat lighting wise.Car details have always been superior in GT. Forza has better track details and enviroments.
it looks a lot better than sports so...What should I look? You can see everything I said in the OP video. Maybe PS3 is exaggerated but it doesn't look better than PS4 games.
The camera motion looks good.

I thought so as well, parts of it was rough quite awhile to clean it up yet though
Those tree transitions stick out for me bad. (Timestamped below)
Not a great showcase imo.
I don't understand as you can say something like this when, for example, the Red sun in the Japan flag is a light orange and the flag is on the dark Shadows of the interior of the cockpit. It's pretty clear that the colour grading is seriously offThe hud is transparent, probably that's why. The part of the HUD that's is inside the car looks correct. Finally catching up to the competition that has done that for years. Maybe by the time GT9 comes around we'll get accurately modelled torque steer, accurate high powered RWD WOT behaviour, and a decent tire model that isn't just a grip modifier.Small details like the dashboard reflection in the windscreen that depends on where the sun is shining from as to whether it appears or not. Nice touch, impressive.
I'll be listening to this sick bass-line while I'm doing laps...
Any songs you'll be listening to?
then it is a store treating them well...Where I go I was talking with a salesman about how to calibrate Tv and he tld me their showcase TV are max brightness (That I can conceive in a brightly lit store) but max contrast ,sharpness basically everything cranked to the top that may look only good in those special videos like some HDR videos you can find on youtube.Same with a lot of people who get a TV professionally calibrated (not copying settings from a Youtube video) so many people think a calibrated TV looks dull because they see TVs in stores cranked to max brightness
What pisses me off is Sonys blatant lies about this being a PS5 exclusive. At the end of every trailer this had the words "playstation 5 exclusive". They advertised it that way for a full year! It looks downgraded from the initial trailers too. I know they were replays but still they were presented from cockpit view to look like gameplay. They shoulda stayed true to their word and released this as a ps5 showcase game but that ain't happening now that it's crossgen.
Btw- the trees in the background still have a very lifeless look to them. Are they the same cardboard 2d trees as Sport or are they at least 3d? I think it looks nice and all bit it's only an incremental improvement over Sport. For this being on such better hardware and being a numbered entry on ps5 I think it should show a leap in graphics. Again though that is this gen in a nutshell isn't it. There is no leap really and there are compromises being made to ray tracing, resolution, fps or graphics settings. One of those features that are vital to looking "next gen" are always toned down at the expense of the other two. In ratchet we had ray tracing and ultra settings but at 30 fps. If you wanted 60 you had to sacrifice that next gen look to the visuals. With gt7 we have high resolution and fps but no RT in gameplay. I worry about Forbidden West cause what we've seen looks amazing but that's 30 fps. It's too bad ps5 doesn't have like 25% more juice.
