Yeah.. i dunno what to tell you. I like a game subscription service. I don't like buying games for me to play them 10 minutes and realize they suck.

Actually iam in a similar boat except that I can manage to actually beat games I get from gamepass, ps plus or epic games. :😀

You can't be serious? How will MS manage to do that exactly? I mean you don't have to dig deep to have an idea on how MS is managing their own studios and IP's...

MS didn't try to acquire AKB because they were in "trouble" or needed "help". They wanted an easy way to victory nothing more nothing less.
Fair enough, I kind of agree that M$ was only interested in Cod.

But a new upper management could really make things run a lot smoothly for other Activision Blizzard IPs.

Do you think MSFT will chill for a sec and just work on the current teams they have? I said back when they bought the first gaggle of studios that they need to chill and actually manage those first. Then they came with Bethesda and I thought it was a bad idea, because they never managed this many studios and they've already shown that they haven't trouble managing what they already had.

Yeah, they need to calm down on the buying spree. They're already overreaching. They aren't managing the studios they have effectively. They need to focus on doing well with what they have, not on buying up more studios.

What's with this anyways?

How come gaming Twitter is just full of Xbox people, I have a Twitter account that isn't used for games but when the topic gets into my feed it's always some Xbox idiot gloating about the brand.
Astroturfing perhaps? At least some of the Xbox influencers look like they get paid by Microsoft. Visits to MS HQ, meeting with management etc. MS do have a history of astroturfing.

Serious Question, does this mean Starfield will come to PS5 eventually?
Obviously there's not a PS5 version right now since they only have Xbox and PC in mind while developing.

This is hilarious. I also think this is a bad look for the UK, to be the only country to block this, when the UK desperately needs trading allies. I’m sure Rishi isn’t happy with the CMA. Now he’s going to be a pariah with his Silicon Valley buddies.

Everyone gets to play the same games still. Yes. How awful.
And everyone would've played the same games still, but some of them without paying full price for each game and without some content being blocked because the matket leader paid for those shitty exclusive content like a whole game mode being exclusive 😉

Don't worry the marketing deals are done either way. I dont expect sony to keep that.

I disagree. Microsoft has 70% of that market, giving them ownership of such a major publisher would not only lock that but reduce the chances to any newcomer to basically zero. This in an already extremely hard to enter market (considering the infrastructure necessary). The CMA isn't here to reward Microsoft for doing a good job in cloud gaming, it's here to make sure that that market remains competitive and that no player gets hold of a monopoly there.
70% of what market? It's just MS and Nvidia twiddling their thumbs hoping something happens.
Does anyone think that the cloud gaming market will expand to be worth annually almost 2 x ABK's revenue by 2026?

Those modes or skins are shit anyway. Your argument fails because paying less that full price is a smaller benefit than the negative of having to buy a whole console or PC to even be able to play cheaper than full price.

Bad look for US too using this logic as FTC are taking them to court. And the EC will block too. Then there's China.

I heard that, in all the years they've been keeping records, the CMA has never reversed a decision on appeal.

So will this be the end of acquisition wars? Or will we have to endure MS and Sony snatching up more studios.
