Big fan of OG GOW trilogy. When I read the title, I was expecting the most badass PlayStation controller ever made but this is extremely low effort, like almost a parody.

They could've done it like MS did with the Doom TDA controller. Maybe something Ash colored, with red paint on it, actual brush stroke, not a stripe. Then have GOW logo in the trackpad and gold colored accents.

This is the equivalent of going to character generator in an RPG, picking the standard preset, and then adding an eye scar on one side.

It looks pretty clean at least. I've been harsh on the themed Dualsense controllers in the past, the Ghost of Yotei one looks like shit. But this one is pretty nice.

Extremely clueless though to show this off followed by no mention of a new God of War game, the 2D one for example. Save this controller for that time.

I like it, but the controller is not the problem. The look is minimalist and that is fine. The cost of the controller and the fact that the original games are not playable on modern consoles is the issue. They could of remastered the games for ps5. Collection of gow 1&2, chains and ghosts of Sparta. Then did a bundle deal you get this controller with the game for $100 or something.

I ain't buying any more of these pieces of feces - I'm about to send back to Sony the SECOND joypad that came with my Pro (i.e , they already replaced one).

1st one lasted what ? 2 months and this one about 5, it's always stick drift and it's getting on my tits.
Meanwhile, the Dualsense that came with my OG PS5 lasted 2 years without any sign of wear until I sold it.

I swear to God, they better use HAL or TMR sticks come next gen consoles 'cause this is getting ridiculous, never ever have I had so many problems with joypads during the OG Xbox/PS2/PS3/X360/PS4 era, this shit started with the XONE and the PS5.

I don't know whether newer revisions are even more cheaply made compared to the older ones but this has to stop.

Astro Bot and Helldivers arguably got amazing controllers. For something like God of War to get this is sad.
