Super Mario 3D All-Stars DELUXE PC Trailer

A collection of 5 3D Mario games, pre-configured optimally to make setting up these games a breeze. *Simply drag and drop your roms and play!

To answer some common questions:

- Steam Deck?
Looking into it, but as for right now, no guarantee'. It seems to be a good bit of work but I'll definitely give it a shot before declaring it too much (at least for now). It works great if your running Windows though (the little music disc in the launcher is off screen but that's the only issue spotted)

- Why no Mario 64 DS?
Just felt it didn't fit + configuring a DS emulator on top of everything would add to the file size. I may come back and add it but no plans right now.

- Why no 3D World?
Similar reason as 64- it would require another emulator, very likely a switch one for 3D world + bowser's fury, and Nintendo would probably hunt me if I had a switch emulator in here. Again, may come back to it, but no plans right now.

- Why isn't 3D land 60fps?
The emulator displayed to me that the game was running at 60 so I was under the impression that 3d land was always a 60fps game that just felt off. I seem to have been mistaken, so if I can get at least one more notable feature (like linux support, but again no guarantee's), I'll go ahead and update this with 60fps for 3D land as well.

- Can I configure this at all?
Yes! All the emulator files are easy to get too, just open the data folder where you can find the folders titled "3ds" and "Wii" containing there respective emulators. You can load mods here or do whatever else you'd like from there.

they have moved to gitlab

I've already blown my money preordering a digital gamestop code for Mario Galaxy 1&2.
If only you had made this post a few days earlier.

If you want to play them with controls that aren't shit then stick with the Switch version. I've tried emulator Galaxy and it's not great unless my setup wasn't right, but I doubt I could make it much better.

That and it has the benefits of joycon controls which would make me want it myself if I didn't already own the original copies on Wii.

lmao the GitHub is already gone, I wanted to see if he was bold enough to host or link roms.

I guess we will never know.

Makes me wonder how much more or less I'd enjoy Super Mario 3D Land on a regular screen. It's one of my favorites but partially cause of its portability and how well it plays in 3D.

Good if you are a dum-dum having problems setting up Dolphin. Getting a good Wii controller button mapping setup can be confusing.
I got it figured out cuz I R S-M-R-T!

There are an extreme amount of vindictive Nintendo haters that would to see them burn. You won't have ANY trouble scoring the files you need to make this.

Somebody is about to get a cease and desist.
They cant do anything to them. They also did the Mario Bros remaster for PC/Steam Deck/Linux...they are just providing a platform through which all these settings will be setup and run but you need your own rom in order to get it working. So with that in mind, Nintendo cant do shit because they are not providing a Nintendo game, they are providing a platform to run N games on PC but there is not a single IP infringement on their side because its the end user who has to have the roms...which obviously you can find with a 2 min google search lol.

"To get around Nintendo's strict legal protections the team doesn't use original assets, instead players will need to supply an Nes ROM, a strategy used by N64 recompilation projects. This way the free project remains accessible without getting shut down, or so the team thinks."

Essentially its like a torrent client (uTorrent/Qbittorrent). You cant shut it down based on any law because you are just providing a service to run the torrents, but the actual torrent files are collected by the user, not the client. In this case, Nintendo roms.

Apparently taken down for violating GitHub GPL by modifying Dolphin without providing the source code for the changes and will be back when this is resolved.

Or pay $40 for a 18 years old game.
I'm not talking about that... I'm taking about a dude (probably pissed at those 80€ for galaxy 1-2) that grab a bunch of emulators he didn't do... and advertise it like he achieved something... like if setting an emulator was rocket science...

Also the fact that there isn't a single link in this thread to the github talks miles about what we may think about this... PC release?

still no way to legally "buy and own" mario 64 and sunshine.

Fuck nintendo for dripfeeding this shit.

Don't really have a need for a front-end, but if it makes it easier for some people who just wanna play these games with mods pre-installed that's nice I guess.

They gotta go full 3D All-Stars, and only keep this up for 6 months before taking it down completely to give me the full Nintendo experience.

Utterly pointless, just get the emus and play all compatible games you want as you want rather than have them preconfigured (with who knows what user preferences) just for a couple games each. Especially since these system emus already have easy to use graphical front end on their own (and some the option for RetroArch for those who prefer that too). Emus also improve over time by the actual hard working devs while these configs are unlikely to keep being updated to new versions (granted there's little room for improvement for some of the very mature ones nowadays but still).

this is not a replacement for that, just a super easy way to get everything set up quick and with HD textures, for people who aren't well versed in using all these different Emulators.

also, I assume you can make a pretty simple portable install of this, and basically have a Mario collection USB stick or SD card that you can just use on different systems, maybe bring with you, etc.
It's already super easy, it's harder and more convoluted in the long run to get specific random user variants pimped in this cringe way per game you care to play (or rather someone cares to make such a config for and er, market it like they made something) than just take 5 minutes to learn to use a PC and copy/cut/paste files in ways that will apply to everything once you understand the simple process. The time taken to learn how to use this shit can be time taken to learn how to use the emus properly (with one catch all version you configure rather than duplicated special game versions). It doesn't even offer any advantage like other such cases, for example specific versions of N64 emus to play GoldenEye and Perfect Dark at 60fps with mouse controls or whatever, at least those had a (super limited and weird but still there) use case beyond the standard emulator versions, these don't.
I've tried emulator Galaxy and it's not great unless my setup wasn't right, but I doubt I could make it much better.
Sounds like your setup wasn't right, especially since you seem to have a Wii so you can have the same controls (either with dolphinbar for ease of use - with certain limits - or any sensor bar and compatible with Wii controllers bluetooth dongles - more versatile but hard to find now). If you're using a standard controller I guess it's not optimal (but you could map the shake and tilt functions to a Dual Shock 4 or similar, only the secondary in these games pointer controls would be problematic - mappable on the DS4 touch pad but far from ideal). Graphics/performance have become flawless.

Nintendo has Super Mario 3D All Stars as well as the coming soon Super Mario Galaxy and Super Mario Galaxy 2 Switch 2 game...but Nintendo has struggled with emulating their own games on Switch and Switch 2...so fan's decided to fix the problem! Now expanded as Super Mario 3D All-Stars Super Deluxe...bringing in Super Mario 64 DS, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario Eclipse AND Super Mario 3D World and Bowser's Fury! This is why retro gaming is making a comeback...options! (ok some are modern...lol)
