The next big update coming on january 22nd. Game is getting better and better with every updates and hopefully we'll get 1.0 later this year. Game is already amazing

Have had it in my library since day one, and have resisted the temptation to touch it before 1.0 arrives. I'm so looking forward to play it. Looks great!

It's not being built around a total co-op experience is it? I just want another amazing single player game.

I'd say just try it and play on the first map, thats what im doing. Avoiding the rest of the content

Will jump in once it hits 1.0. Been sitting on my wish list for a long time now.
Same.

Played just the intro a couple of months ago after The Breach update and instantly knew this game was gonna suck me in. I'm saving the experience for the full game to come out

This game is gonna struggle heavily against PoE2. And even PoE1. I wish them the best but suddenly the ARPG is popping off again.

Online only
angry half baked GIF

I am wondering if more of the map becomes explorable in this update. It is not a necessity but at this point I know most areas like the back of my hand.

I know, but couch co-op is my only use case scenario, unfortunately. At this time, that's pretty much the only way I can play most games :/
I'm pretty sure they mentioned on Discord that they were looking into couch coop after 1.0. I'm hoping it gets added at some point, isometric ARPG type games are usually a ton of fun couch coop.

Is it amazing yet? Loved the look (though I hadn't noticed that Incredibles skipped leg day look before, weird, at least it's not so obvious in game) but it seemed to have not turned out too great in early access.

How does this play with mouse and keyboard on PC? Or is controller recommended?
It works pretty well if you remap buttons. It has a toggle for secondary weapon and 4 skills that can be placed on a weapon. Ideally use RMB (LMB is attack) and mouse to move and control attack angle. Map dodge/run and 4 skills in a comfortable place on keyboard and you are good to go. WASD is super awkward unless you have mouse with extra buttons for skills.

Controller works very well due to 4 skills being mappable to 4 face buttons and whatnot.

Still such a great game, I always jump in again at every update. But online is so not my thing so will wait for the next one this time.
I'm hoping for an update to tweak the loot system, to get more rewarding exploration loot, I rarely find anything I care about.

Only thing i don't like in this game are chest respawning after any death making exploration a bit confusing and finding a chest feel less special because they re-spawn all the fucking time and the camera position in some platforming sections.

Do they introduce new content with this update or just the coop and qol stuff?

Is the story content complete yet?
No. And it`s not clear how much is yet to come until and with 1.0. I´ve not seen an updated roadmap in that regard and personally I got the impression the even Moon themselves currently aren`t sure where the journey will take them exactly and at what cadence but feel free to correct me here thomasmahler thomasmahler
Is it good??
If you like games like Diablo and From games and ever wanted a hybrid set in a really beautiful world (It´s the Ori studio after all) then yes. Despite being still in EA it´s at least a solid 20+ hours of great entertainment already.

Well, we have an internal roadmap of course, but usually nothing good comes from us posting dates and plans since dates change and plans change as well. If people want to know what we're working on and what's next, I'm active all the time on our Discord as well and we have an extremely helpful community. I think that's already better than just having a little PR image out there that says that X is coming next.

And yeah, if you like Zelda, Diablo or Souls, I'm pretty sure at this point Wicked will hit the right spot. We're just trying to create what we think a modern ARPG should be like because nobody else is delivering on that vision.

I definitely think you need to make the treasure chests permanent and include loot and also new weapons or armor that entice us to keep playing. Get away from loot that is meaningless or doesn't have a rewarding purpose.

Side question: Thomas who do we have to haggle with to get Ori 1 & 2 upgraded for current systems and available on PS5?
