Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece May Be Headed to Nintendo Switch 2

jshackles

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Watch it be cloud based again 😂

I like Kingdom Hearts including 3rd game but I cant really get excited for the 4th game because I know they gonna include Marvel and Star War crap in it.

There is not much interesting Disney world left to visits and in my honest opinion most modern Disney movies just dull and boring.

Don't forget, they got Pixar and some pretty decent Animated films like Inside Out and Zootopia.

I definitely wouldn't mind visiting those two worlds and maybe a revisit of a few of the classics and maybe even a Final Fantasy world (Finally!). They could make it work.

Actually would love if we visits Final Fantasy world with Donald and Goofy in 4th game.

Unfortunately Marvel and Star Wars are popular so the gonna include in the game, thats huge turn off for me because I can't stand those two series.

Hope this is a native one. That cloud version is bs.

NS2 can easily run this game at 60fps, is a great port on PS4 and PRO overall.

They will never put an FF world. Quadrantum is the closer one and it will be basically Versus XIII probably.

I'm not hype for a 4th game simply because I stopped caring about the IP. I feel the story is too nonsensical and after KH3, I think I'm done. I replayed Birth By Sleep a few years ago with the remaster and enjoyed it and decided I probably wont buy KH4.

I feel its run its course and if anything, I'll get it used or something.

In terms of Modern Disney movies, I can't speak on them, I'm not a child...remember Dan, those films we loved as kids, were aimed at us when we were kids, I can't speak for how the children today view that content. Their generation still has a voice and that content resonates with them with how its folded into that world no different then when KH was introduced to us.

I agree with you on Star Wars and Marvel, I really don't want to see that in Kingdom Hearts, but sadly it will most likely happen.

However, I do disagree on the "There is not much interesting Disney world left to visits".

Treasure Planet for example would be absolutely incredible to visit, it's always been my most wanted world, especially if they made Crescentia explorable.

I just love this so much. The only game I can think of with a similar level of "sky city" like this is Gravity Rush.
However, Disney doesn't seem to really like Treasure Planet, so it's unlikely to happen.

Outside of this, like mentionned above there is still a lot of Pixar stuff unexplored, and still some really good Disney Classics, like Robin Hood which could really be exciting. Zootopia could also be amazing, and stuff like Incredibles and Coco could be interesting. This is without mentioning the fact of potentially revisiting previous worlds too.

There will also potentially be more focus on non-disney worlds this time too, with Quadratum for example. This is something that was lacking a bit in KH3 compared to 1 and 2. I always enjoyed the new non disney worlds in Kingdom Hearts.

I really don't think they're out of options for worlds, there's still ton of stuff that can be done. But yes, we will most likely see Star Wars and Marvel too.

Only good thing about these games is the OST.

They are amazing games.
Yes the story is too confusing for no reason, it's Nomura going total freestyle in the weird stuff he loves.
But the rest of it? Absolute perfection for me.

They're just such FUN games. The progression is super enjoyable, you can feel your character getting stronger and stronger with tons of new cool stuff unlocking all the time.
The gameplay is great, the visuals are great, the musics like you said are great, it's just a perfect combo for me.

Special mention for the Critical Mode. It's a complete game changer. To the point that I'm not sure I'll want to play KH4 at launch, and will probably wait until Critical Mode arrives.
It's not just "harder" like most other games do, it's a total rebalancing of the game, leading to honestly the best boss fights I have ever played in a video game. The ReMind Organization 13 boss fights in KH3 are absolutely incredible. You already have a super fun game, and when it's done, you have a whole post game that feels like a different, boss rush kind of game.

There are some boring episodes for sure, I hate Chain Of Meories for example, and I agree the story is hard to follow once you reach Dream Drop Distance, but I don't know, it's not enough to make them bad at all to me, because the rest if just so good and so fun. I just love Kingdom Hearts.

Is there a world that you would consider to be far and above the rest in terms of level design and art direction in Kingdom Hearts III?

Larxia Larxia Re-Chain of Memories is kind of a slog to play through, but I really like the story parts.

Also I don't think the story is really that confusing, it's just that there are a lot of games, so there's a lot of twists and turns to remember. Imagine if they made like five more games in the FF7 universe that weren't just side-games, with the same amount of twists and turns as FF7's plot has.

In general I like the worlds of KH3 much more than the rest of the series.
Finally we have worlds that are more open and feel more alive.

I'm actually playing through KH3 again right now (because I didn't play it on Steam yet, and I want to finish the game on steam so I can work on my mods there and get rid of the non steam version), and even on a second playthrough it's still super fun to go through.
In Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, there are quite many world that can feel somewhat tedious to play again, but I find the worlds in KH3 to be a lot more fun to explore.

I wouldn't say that the level design is particularly special or anything, most worlds are still fairly linear, but visually they are quite gorgeous.
For the art direction, Corona Kingdom is my favorite. I love Tangled and playing in this world with such stunning visuals and a great atmosphere was really nice.

For the level design... I'm not sure, I'd say the Carribeans is probably the world that surprised me the most in a positive way. Especially when you go to some places that existed in KH2, but here there's no invisible wall anymore, you can stand in the exact same place as KH2, but now you can go through that bridge or jump over that wall, it's a really special and great feeling. Also it was a really fun mini black flag world.

All in all, there are no worlds I really "disliked", but I would say that Arendelle and Monster Inc were the least interesting ones, all the other ones were pretty great.

Put it on easy, just stack the cards together against everyone. Chain of Memories was an nice novelty on the GBA, gorgeous game for the system. The remake, not so much, it's just cool for the cutscenes.

The thing that drove me crazy in re-chain of memories wasn't the difficulty in combats, it was the RNG, especially the RNG required to open doors. There was a time in the Wonderlands world where I could never find the card I needed to open the door and progress, I never had the proper number / color combination. I remember I had to grind for something like 2 hours just to get the right card to progress through the story. Terrible design if you have really bad luck.

Oh, forgot about that. Never had too much of a problem, but yeah, sometimes you have to grind and be lucky for the enemies to drop the card needed.

I think the story was fine in the first few games. I used to say that people exagerated when they said it was impossible to follow the story back during KH2 etc... Yes there were different strange concepts you had to grasp, but it was totally understandable if you accepted such concepts.

For me things got messy with Dream Drop Distance. Adding different timelines and time travel to an already complex story was just too much. Now you have clones of clones from another timeline etc etc, it went a bit too far... And having additionnal (sometimes required) lore in mobile games was also a really bad idea (and why I'm actually glad Missing Link is cancelled).

Here is a really fun meme about how convoluted KH can be, it's not even exagerated, that's actually true :messenger_grinning_sweat: :

I just bought the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 HD Remix for PS4 for stupid cheap over the holidays. I'm good for a while.

As much as I would love this just to have it on Switch 2, it'll be key card foolishness.

If it's entirely physical, then you get sale, even if for Asia, I'll import.

But F key card.

KH is fun as fuck if you crank the difficulty and treat it as a theme park with various Disney themed combat arenas for what is, truly, a far deeper and more intuitive battle system than it gets credit for, and moreover, a Disney crossover game has any right to be in the first place.

There is just a meticulous amount of bullshit under the hood mechanically, so many different builds, starting rolls, spells, reaction commands, attraction abilities, Summons, flowmotion, Lockshot, environmental exclusive stuff. Abilities that extend or detract combos and an equipment system in tandem that essentially lets you make your own custom combo in terms of number of strikes and overall damage output.

I know, hurr durrr Disney, press x to press triangle to win, ME? I'M ALREADY HALF XEHANORT, etc etc, but no fuck, it's legit pretty solid shit. Man.

No doubts.

But they've handled story delivery and franchise management fairly crap for how popular it is. Story delivery is obvious. But still no anime, movie, permanent theme park placement, and so on. Very weird of Disney not to push it more. Unless there's some contract disagreement for royalties and what not.

Still cannot believe they thought it was ok to end KH3 like that while leaving a huge gap after. What were they thinking.

I wonder how big the file size on switch 2. The steam version is over 120GB, so I guess key card games? Switch 2 cartridge so far is restricted to 64GB max.

If the cartridge contains full game data and not key card, I will consider buy it for collection.
