The way they presented it, seems a while off still, yeah.Has promise, needs a lot of polish
it feels UE5
don't have to be so mad.
and besides for forza, it was really the only game shown worth a damn.Fable didn't look ready to show at all.
It's hard to describe but almost every engine has a look and feel, that goes for Decima, UE5, ND's engine, SP engine, RED engine. How do engines feel.
Im genuinely intrigued for your answer.
They already said what they were showing so I'm not sure why you'd expect completely different titlesand besides for forza, it was really the only game shown worth a damn.
I was expecting a first look at gears eday and more gameplay for halo
Indeed. That framerate was rough.Fable didn't look ready to show at all.
I dont follow everything they do or say so i missed that partThey already said what they were showing so I'm not sure why you'd expect completely different titles
Take notes Sony. That's how you show games.

A lot of gameplay was shown tbh. There was more talking than showing.
Double Fired.Double closed.
When's the last time Sony showed extended gameplay of multiple long-awaited games in a 45-min format?
Combat looked better, seemingly, than TW3. So that's a plus.I really enjoyed buying up the whole town in Fable 2. I didn't really see what everyone else saw as far as the combat, but I'm at work and so couldn't watch closely.
So glad they included character creation.

None of us have played this, but all the flaws i see in the usual UE5 game are present here. We'll see when i play, it just looks like a UE game
I agree but I'd take that over the boring ass state of play. The best formula was Sony e3 2019 when they showcased tlou2, Tsushima, spiderman and Death standing.Yes but it could have been a third of the length.
We need gameplay showcases, I have no interest in watching the septum ringed purple/red/pink haired he/she's standing and talking in front of the camera.
even if fh6 is just fh5 in japan with a real progression system, it's a big improvement.Fh6 looks like fh5 in Japan, some could expect more graphic imprevement. Fable looks rough. Will play fh6 100% with Fable will wait for reviews.
I've always been a PlayStation gamer so I'm happy about it ^^. Still, I hate those state of play. These are Sony games now....
Take notes buddy....
LOL

It's called 'Developer Direct' for a reason. Not exactly subtle.Yes but it could have been a third of the length.

I love the premise that will keep me playing until I am ruler of the universe and making everyone pay me 75% of their take home payI really enjoyed buying up the whole town in Fable 2. I didn't really see what everyone else saw as far as the combat, but I'm at work and so couldn't watch closely.

They literally have dedicated long gameplay showcases for games that are about the release within a month or two. When's the last time Sony showed extended gameplay of multiple long-awaited games in a 45-min format?
It reminded me a lot of Hogwarts. It looks clunky and automated(scripted), as if its just a film and not a game.
I'm looking foward because of the character creation itself, because the rest seems underwelming. Since most of problems I see are mostly from animation and combat, I still have hopes they can fix it.
They need to speed up some of those swing animations of the swords. I think that is throwing a lot of it off and making it look "automated" like you're watching a prompt play out versus more "oomph" with speed.I love the premise that will keep me playing until I am ruler of the universe and making everyone pay me 75% of their take home pay
That said I think once you see the 4k feed you will see it needs a lot of polish
Fable looked pretty good.
You've got to remember, this genre is out of their wheelhouse.
Combat looked a bit meh, but combat was never Fable's strong suit anyway.
Playground seem to be at least capturing the general ethos of the previous games.
I'm gonna romance every lass in every village. Make babies, leave and have a bunch of little bastards running around forming gangs.Fable looks damn rough holy shit, but giving players a character creation instead of that monstrosity is a win on my book.
Do you think its reasonable that a game should take 7+ years and still look not even close to being ready?Didnt you hear they build the studio for Fable from scratch? New hires and everything? And is the first RPG in their portfolio? Engine adjustments for using it for RPGs? Yea...Burning money....Playground

Thts what I got too. No quirks or charm at all. The passion in game developers seems to be gone these days they hire what seems like lazy unpassionate people then promote them and the cycle continues. This is the exact reasons game devlopemnt has ben dragging for years now on gamesFable looks so lame![]()
You still have guys here defending FH5s non existant progression system, it's nuts to me.even if fh6 is just fh5 in japan with a real progression system, it's a big improvement.
it's telling they focused so much on that, clearly they heard the criticism.
