pudel pudel pretty much nailed it, but also it's been a long fucking time since we got an original game of this size and ambition that wasn't a sequel to something. I'd think most jank would be forgiven in these instances. Being a non Western studio doesn't hurt either in 2026.

I tried talking to some chick who had what looked like a dialogue circle appear over her, but never any prompt. Something like that happened with aother guy and I had to target him or something before I could talk. Accidentally ended up decking her and a couple other ladies and was notified I had committed a crime.

Incel life, I guess. Speaking to women can be difficult.

Everyone's tolerance level is different. If I'm being honest, this game doesn't have THAT much jank compared to other open world games that I've played from Ubisoft and Bethesda.

A lot of people also focus more on the bigger picture and the overall product. This game does a lot of things right (sandbox, exploration, no hand holding, freedom, etc) and it's scratching an itch that many people were looking for. I remember playing Witcher 3 a couple weeks before the release date on console and it had A LOT of jank. Still became one of my favorite games ever.

Shoulder checking isn't jank. If they didn't get budged people would complain the NPCs dont interact when walked into - there is a lot of area to move around, just don't run into NPCs if you dont want to budge them. Can't please everyone.

The game has jank, but it's not as janky as some make it out to be.
 
Jank level seems surprisingly good imo considering the scale of the game and how many systems there are interacting with each other, which is a lot of systems even compared to similar games.

Gotta point out that everyone knew jank was going to be part of the game, considering the sheer amount of scope and scale of gameplay mechanics hamfisted into this game. It's just that people are constantly bringing up to point out jank = automatically bad! black and white logic, as if they've never used more than a single digit of their brain power to think that jank doesn't automatically prevent games from being fun for others.

New Vegas was a janky af messy game even by 2010's standard, but the game never stopped being fun.

Jank level is even quite low in that game. I had maybe three bugs in 120h...and a reload always fixed it. Thats nothing for such a huge game. Compare that to a Bethesda game or Stalker2 or even CDPR or even Larian with BG3. They all had more bugs at release. Some people here just have zero clue what they are talking about.
