Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?

I still never really played it.

the first hour of it always makes me stop, it's so bad... I was told it gets actually good but man, that beginning is 10x worse than the worst 3D Zelda intro sections.

Holy shit I'm old...

The illustration looks great, hoepfully we get some kind of peek into the sequel but I honestly believe didn't need any. And yes, that includes Okamiden...

60fps update?
Yeah, that would be nice. The most recent release was almost perfect, but only running at 30 fps. I understand this is due to various aspects of the game being tied to the originally targeted framerate, so just unlocking the fps cap would lead to other issues. But it would still be nice if they could dig a bit deeper and get this done one day.

Lovely 20th anniversary art, I cant wait to see what the sequel looks like, I wonder if they'll base the gameplay around BotW/TotK or previous Zeldas or something else entirely.

I should go back to my PS5 run of this, I was really enjoying it, 30fps lock is annoying but you get used to it quickly.

I think they stated on Twitter at some point they will do their own thing, a true successor for Okami and not follow current trends in gaming.

I'll post the info here if I find it.

Edit: Can't find it. I guess the source was: I made it the fuck up.

Here's some other info though:

03_CLOVERS_logo_CNV_news-1024x399.png

Our logo is a four-leaf clover with a letter C forming each of the leaves. These Cs represent four individual principles that combine to make one whole. These four Cs bring us together, just like they do in our logo. In fact, you could call us C-LOVERS!

Our Four Cs are…
  • Challenge: The unstoppable drive to try new things.
  • Creativity: The urge to continuously create.
  • Craftsmanship: An unshakeable devotion to detail.
  • As for the fourth C… each of our creators adds a precious C of their own to the mix.
These form The CLOVERS Spirit that we all hold dear to our hearts.

We promise to take new challenges head-on, to sweat the details, and to create gaming experiences that only we can create. It's our mission to make the games you've always wanted to play.

One of the PS2 games I kept on the shelf. Have not played it since the PS2 days. I hear tell there is a remake/remaster available.

I had this game back in the day but struggled to get past the filter that made the game look so blurry.

I have the HD version on Switch, I need to try it again.

I beat it on my Switch OLED & Switch 2 last year. It's a good game, but the sequel could be a lot better if they design it well. The sequel needs much better combat and more depth or complexity to its dungeons.

I thought it was just an ok game. Apart from the way it looks I'm not sure what the hype was about especially considering the amazing games Capcom were coming out with in that period.
Maybe i interpret too much into it but it's one of those "artsy" games that people circle jerk around as "intellectuals" and every one critizicing the game get's labled with "nah you simply do not get it"

Has the game a cool artstyle? -> yes
Is it also boring as hell in some parts -> yes

Atleast in my opinion.

I'm really looking forward to this game

I played the first game when it came out on PS2. The visual style was just stunning. With what modern hardware can do, I can't wait to see how it looks and plays
