Take Two CEO confirms no PC version of GTA VI day one

Used XSX/PS5 + used game and resell both after beating the game = no money for the walled garden shit. That's at least my plan if the game is a must have at release.
I plan to do the same but i think i'm gonna go with Xseries S used, it's cheaper that way.

On l'a toujours su. C'est juste que certains refusaient de l'admettre. Rockstar fonctionne toujours de cette manière.

Whats with the fake shock by some people in here?. Rockstar always do this with their games as they know people will double dip.

It would of been more of a shock if it was releasing on PC day one.

I'm not sure what you're showing there. That's the huge upgrade I was talking about.

That barren wasteland couldn't be their original vision. PS4 version was always in the pipeline and I doubt many of those assets weren't created in original development time (just downgraded for PS3/360).

They also downgraded the game compared to first trailer:

The same strategy with GTA 5, I guess.

First round: PS5, Xbox series
Second: PC
Third: Definitive edition for PS6, next Xbox
Fourth: Definitive edition for PC
Fifth: Enhanced definitive edition for ps7, next next xbox, and PC
PS5/XBS have yet to get the Enhanced version of V, so I would not be so sure about that.

Nope. Gta has always come to console first.
Excluding 1 and 2, yeah.

Part of the reason to do this is to work on the PS6 version and PC simultaneously. They'll do a graphical overhaul for both, so they do it together.

I've noticed that a lot more recently, Naughty Dog did it with their LoU Part 1 remake.

Check this trailer out, it compares the OG trailer vs the PS3 release and PS3 comes out on top in a number of scenes.

Your comparisons with PS4 aren't what I'm talking about. PS6 will get a huge upgrade over PS5 too.

lol console players are jus tbeta testers, who cares. let them cum all over with gta, theres plenty to play
Not true. Betas are supposed to be "features complete", just tests for bugs and stuff. This is a full priced "downgraded all around" version just like every non Enhanced version. :messenger_winking_tongue:

Most of those are just changes (like TOD/bloom when Franklin uses sniper rifle). Full game also have better image quality compared to horribly compressed trailer from 2011.

If the OG trailer is the vision then they fulfilled it.
Same goes for the PS5 GTAVI trailer.

Going beyond that for next-gen is expected.

Orginal GTA5 release had many compromises, PS4/PC versions from 2014/2015 fullfiled them.

PS5 and recent PC rerelease are the ones that added stuff not present in their original vision (RT).

Rockstar always starts on console because I think with regard to a release like that you're judged by serving the core. Like really serving the core consumer. If your core consumer isn't there, if they're not served first and best, you kind of don't hit your other consumers.

Saying they want to focus on their "core audience" and then say that PC can add up to 40-50% of sales....fucking idiot contradicting himself in the same breath. We all known it is because he wants the double dippers from the console to bloat the sales even more, just stop fucking lying right in our faces with a fake smile and acting like we are stupid.

As for it not coming to PC at launch, this isn't news either, though the last time he said it, it was because they wanted to make sure the PC version was top tier because PCs have a lot more power and options. I can see them making it Rockstar launcher exclusive again for like another year and try to make PC players also double dip.

Looking at the old Rockstar games, GTA 5 was good, but not as good as many previous games. Red Dead Redemption 2, beautiful looking game that bores me To death after a few hours. I hope GTA 6 doesn't become too grounded and serious, but again, would like it to be good regardless. Still not buying a console for it.

I just proved how it exceeded the trailer and back then that was an incredible feat.

I'm not sure what your expecting for GTAVI but if it matches the trailer then everyone will be pleased.

They will cut some things compared to reveal trailer, 100%. For example crowd and car density.

I still expect it to look very comparable in the end (not on series s lol).

Also forgot to say that I will buy it physically for PS5 and then trade it in when I beat the story and will rebuy it when it hits PC. I already know Rockstar will resell the game again on PS6, so I may as well double dip on the version that scales to my new GPU purchases and doesn't scale to a new generation that requires a new purchase.

I just hope the news that it will come out in February 2027 for PC is true, then i forgive Rockstar the decision to release it on consoles first, lol.

The difference in cost between a used Series S and used PS5 with a disc drive is greater than the cost of the game....so it will still be the cheapest absolute entry point.
It doesn't matter if you're going to resell the console anyway like i said. But an Xbox Series S will be harder to resell than a PS5.

Where's that news come from? There's no way they release an enhanced versioni on PC within a year, and it's probably nearer two in my opinion.

The thing that has always happened and we knew would happen again has been confirmed to actually happen?!? Daaaaamn. We obviously gotta have 10 pages of arguing about it since we weren't prepared enough.

I actually think it will be a similar situation to GTAV.

PS5 version this year, PS6 enhanced version on PS6 day one next year and PC early 2028.
Yeah, I think it will be related to the PS6 release, It also depends how much work they're planning for PS6 / PC though. If it's better textures next year is possible, if it's a bigger overhaul both will be 2028 I reckon.

GTA 4 and 5 were released 6 months after console release.

They don't need PS6 version, PS5 version will work on PS6 unlike PS3 version of GTA5 (PS4 with no BC).

PC version will release 6-12 months after console version.

Wasn't GTA5 18 months after? I might be wrong, but I thought it 2015 with the PS3 version in 2013?

It was 6 months after PS4 port. They had to make it because there was no BC on PS4. So it was their first priority, they don't need to do that now with PS6 BC.

RDR2 released one year later on PC. So I expect 6-12 months window for port.

We'll see, but I'm thinking that the PC version will be closer related to PS6 than PS5. It's a decision they'll have to make anyway.

PS6 version could be done via simple patch, or even PS5 version can be aware that is running on better hardware and enable more stuff (similar to PS4 games on PS5, CP2077 was running in 60fps on PS5 day one).

PS4 games also work on PS5 and we got the first taste of PS5...literally the first PS5 trailer we saw was the PS5 version of GTAV on it back in 2020. It was even a meme back then how a PS3 game was the first game shown on PS5 on Sony's showcase where they announced the PS5.
