It's time to see which PS5, PS4, PS VR2, and free-to-play games topped last month's download charts. In April, Pragmata landed in the top three on the US charts, while Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes debuted on the PS VR2 charts, and NTE made an appearance on free-to-play.

Hmmm.... Mouse PI for Hire outsold Saros both in the US and Europe. Of course Saros came out on the last day of April while Mouse PI had two weeks of sales, but still ... MPfH is from a small studio, Saros has Sony's PR behind it.

No, April 30 was the official release date. EA was two days earlier, so April 28.

It released 30th April. Not my type of game, but Hades II is charting.

Where's the new first party tentpole releases? Is it implied that Marathon is so far ahead of the pack that they don't list it?
 
i didnt buy nor care about Saros. But guys the game was available in april for like.. a day.... Not expecting big sales from this one but come on lol
 
Saros released too late to make that list, wouldn't worry about it. Good to see Pragmata high on both lists, what a great game that was.
 
To be fair to Saros, it launched at the end of April. Apr 28 EA, standard date Apr 30. Game sales are always frontloaded, but didnt have enough runway compared to the other games with a full month of sales.

Must had been some massive discounts for PS4 games. Gang Beasts, a bunch of ancient COD games, The Hunter Call of the Wild. Wow.
 
How the fuck is Rockstar still the most downloaded games?? They have such staying power it's insane.

#1 PS4 game worldwide STILL
#3 PS5 game in EU
 
Pragmata deserves it, the game was so much fun.

It type of game that's not shy about being gamey.

Saros is there, but could be higher.
Better be there next month, preferably a bit higher up.

At times I'm just puzzled how much of an outlier us conessieurs of good taste seemingly are. With Returnal there was at least some natural explanations (console shortages, less approachable). If PS owners won't pick up the good singleplayer games that actually release maybe all "we" really do deserve is GAAS crap. It's a shame.

That list is mainly PS4 games without a PS5 version that people are buying/playing on PS5.

Arkham Knight has been on the list when it's been on sale ever since Gotham Knights came out.

A roguelike shooter like Saros can only maximize at 5 million TOPS! And that's if it's sold on every console and on every PC store. The max that any game like that can do on PS5 alone is around 3 million units (at full price).
 
So sad about saros because it was on my radar for many years but i was turn off from woke agendas and dei check list again. Im sad about PS exclusive this days because, instead of enjoying the gameplay and graphics we all have to dread that there games are infested with push for leftist and twisted woke and dei agenda like transgenderism, misuse of pronouns, and uglifyied characters. Oh I miss the glory days of Ps exclusives of ps1 to ps3. As for ps4, its only Blood borne and Days gone the shining light of good and very based exclusive in that era.

For those mentioning Marathon, Marathon was March 5th release. This is April. Pragmata would be gone next month too. Most games don't last a month on these charts. That's a given.

Yeah I guess you're right. I'd consider 3 million a reasonable expectation, but I'm not entirely sure that PS leadership has a good sense of what to expect anymore *cough*Hulsts supposed expectations on Concord*cough*.

I guess I'm just worried we could get another Bluepoint situation. I'm way more worried about how decisions are made after that closure. If they can't recognize the value of giving their renowned and in many ways legendary studios some leeway (within reason of course, i.e play to their strengths) they run the risk of losing their identity. God, I just wish Yoshida was still there, or at least someone in charge with his touch. Someone to say
"No, you've worked on Fairgames for ages and somehow it doesn't even have the fun factor - you know, the core and essence of this type of game- down. You're out."
while still also saying
"Sorry Bluepoint, our over emphasis on GAAS was a bad call that understandably nudged you guys in the wrong direction and that's on us. Now remaster the God of War Trilogy which is your actual area of expertise. Lol, wouldn't it be fucking bizarre and totally crazy to have Santa Monica do that? Thank god we have you guys."
