Lets not forget highguard that launched as f2p had over 97k ccu on first night, marathons success doesnt depend or isnt measured by how many players it will attract durning those few days of f2p, but how many of them game gonna be able to retain longterm, and here my friends, im sure it will have similar performance to modern women, aka ratio of retaining men close to 0%

Odd, the CCU spiked steeply up once the free servers were live, but then harshly plateaued and now dipped even.

My guess is the servers tanked and now people can't get in to play. In other words, a typical Bungie patch day!

Might be fine during free week, but once the steam CCU dropped to around 10K it was insanely sweaty, most of the people I know dropped it at that stage because they just kept getting annihilated.

Also Xbox requires cross play, I literally could not get games if I disabled it.

I played a lot of COD in my day. Add it up and it's probably months worth of game time added together. I dont remember COD ever being down like Marathon does so often. Whatever patches or updates they do you just download it, restart the game and youre good. I do remember faintly I think the old COD4 there might had been some downtime due to server overload. Not sure though.

By the looks of it on various forums there were MM issues all afternoon. Bungie folks probably all went home already like a job well done, so they called them back to the office to fix it. lol
