Hasn't been explained yet, but it will be addressed sooner or later.Been going back and revisiting older episodes. There was a moment in the season 1 finale in which Jenner whispered something to Rick. Was that ever clarified or did that just fall by the wayside?

Which will actually work out better for those who've forgotten. At the moment of the reveal they'll remember the whisper, will be a better surprise. It's been so long since the whisper at the CDC, I bet most people totally forgot about it.

Ok, watched Sunday but I finally just read through the whole thread from that night. A couple of points I wanted to make:
1) You guys are right, it does seem as if the survivors just don't care about attempting to go anywhere or do anything, unlike in LOST when they were constantly active. The issue with that in this show is that they don't have a solution to the over-arching problem. In LOST the whole thing boils down to just getting off of the island, then protecting against the others, etc. In TWD, they showed a sense of direction and a sense of purpose when they were headed to the CDC. After that happened tho, what else is left? You basically just have to sit and wait it out. ---- I do agree, however, that they should be fortifying the fuck out of their location.
2) In any apocalypse scenario or any other situation in which a group of humans is left to their own devices, they always turn on each other and start picking off group members. I want to call it the Lord of the Flies effect but I'm sure it happened before that in literature. The most immediate comparison for us is LOST, so I'll use it here too. It happened on that show as well. It's a normal human reaction. It's perfectly natural for strife to exist within the group and even more natural for them to want to kill the group of 30 (and for the group of 30 to want to kill them).
3) I don't get the people that are in here saying they hate the show so much. Yeah it's hokey and the writing isn't phenomenal but it's entertaining as heck mang. I am really enjoying the show and I think it's been really terrific since coming back from break. The farm does need to end tho.
4) We are watching a show about zombies and are concerned about the strength of one particular zombie to rip open Dale and the strength of Dale not being able to bench that one "80 lb." zombie. C'mon bros lighten up.
5) I am extremely surprised that the conversation after the episode centered moreso around how ridiculously Dale died than the decision to execute Randall. Either I thought about it too much or it's just a foregone conclusion because of the torture, but before the torture, I just can't agree with the execution. The dude was left for dead by his crew, there is now way he would have stayed loyal. All that said, the writers are STUPID and could have easily created some internal strife by having Randall free among the group and then have him push up on one of the chicks. Group reacts and kills him anyway, but after gathering some vital intel on food and where other people are hiding. The story line writes itself.
6) Dale was one of my favorite characters on the show. You guys are right tho, Carl must die.
lol this thread is gonna be hilarious after Sundays episode.
That's all I'll say, but I'm more excited for this thread than the actual episode
Anyway it has been a long week. The wit for the season finale has been brutal. You know things are finally getting better when the episodes feel further and further away. At least that's how I feel.
As I posted a few pages back, it seems to be the way of things on GAF TV show threads. The writers are always dumb, the acting is always shit, the show is just horrible. But the same complainers come back every week. Don't get me wrong, some complaints are fine, but if you come back week in week out the truth of the matter is you like the show enough to keep watching. So people need to zip it.Agreed, I think people pick things apart too much instead of getting lost in the show itself for the entertainment value. Yeah that zombie ripped Dale to shreds, might have been better if it had bit into him instead as that's happened a million times before, but it happened the way it did no harm done. This show has been fun, but I was pretty sad when Dale died, I had no idea that was coming.
Season finale is next week isn't it?

I got lambasted for this opinion in the Dexter thread before. Some of the people arguing with me were still watching after saying the show had been terrible for 4 seasons! So bad they couldn't stop watching.
I've loved The Walking Dead from the start, it has it's issues, but what doesn't?

Saw this posted on reddit, for some reason I find it hilarious.
Looking forward to the penultimate episode tomorrow, the preview looked interesting.

Only two episodes to go this season. Next week is the finale.Better Angels
Someone dangerous may be loose near the farm; Rick, Shane, Daryl and Glenn keep the group safe.
It will air Fall 2012. Presumably they're already writing some of it.I'm so ready for this!
Any news on when they plan on starting with season 3 ?

Lol, I doubt they would do that. Although I've never read the comics so I don't know if that happens there.I love the show, slowness aside, but if they add infant walkers, I'm out. That's just stupid.

It's posts like these that make me think Zombie baby is a comic spoiler. I need to buy the comics before season 3!When that baby finally pops out of Lori, it better look like that

Yeah I feel bad for those guys. It must be shit to go through life not being able to enjoy anything.
