First generation is pretty bad, after that it gets better, but still inferior to the rest of gundam series.

Oh gawd, dat yellow. I thought greatest hits red was bad. I hope that white background doesn't come in the actual "the best" rerelease. Should have just used the full image.
I wanted to check it out as a fan of level 5 and gundam, but I haven't had much time to watch anime series in the past 2 years. The first 4 episodes threw me off of it anyways, and I can still remember the negativity around the announcement.
The mecha designs don't really stand out coming out of 00 too. Really hoping the next series gets down and gritty to the ground battles like the one year war did.
Actually, I'm just hoping for more of MS Apocalypse 2 again. I loved those 3 episodes.
The glorious Bright Noa had such a stupid son.

You don't know the half of it. I'm watching it right now and what has been said is true. Shinn Asuka, who before this show was hands down the worst mecha protagonist ever, looks like a competent and acceptable lead compared to the crap that is Gundam AGE. And I'm told that the leads only get worse as the show goes.

When I got to Extreme Gundam, I was thinking "Damn that voice is familiar"; then when I got to the credits I was like "oooh, of course, why wouldn't it be Gackt?"

You can set the CPUs to do nothing for a makeshift training mode. The game itself is very situational, but there's nothing wrong with learning the basics with what I mentioned.

The Arcade mode has a ton of ways to go plus several difficulties.
The mission mode also will teach you everything, granted it will do it individually but the higher level missions will certainly keep you on your toes and it will only be a matter of adjusting your game when playing humans as at that point you will have pretty much everything you need to get by.
As for never watching, that isn't really needed. Though there are some great Gundam's if you are remotely interested in Anime, I won't recommend any though, my taste are weird and they tend to be rather, disagreeable with the fanbase at large.

So it seems like a 2ch member and a Chinese guy found coding for the rest of the EXVS DLC suits. It's pretty much a partial version of the pic that got released including the Zaku III. A GameFAQs member compiled the sources in this topic. Seems like it'll be Strike Noir, Gold Frame, Zaku III, Arios, and there is a blank spot for Age-1.
So Strike Noir and Gold Frame are pretty much confirmed. That's good because finally, some of my favorite mobile suits in Gundam are actually going to be playable here. All I need is the Banshee in FB one day and I'll never actually switch from Strike Noir and Banshee.
And they better offer Age-1 for free, because I'm not going to pay for it. People are better off giving their money to Arios so Allelujah can crawl out of his "the Quatre/Gundam Sandrock of the 00 team" infamy.

I kind of want to see the AGE-1 in action, I'm sure it could be interesting. At worse it'd be another Strike/Impulse, which isn't too bad?
But I admit I'd rather get the AGE-2, maybe with Double Bullet being a "mode" ala NT-D/EXAM.

I'm sure the EXVS team will give it good representation, regardless of the source. Soooo hype about Strike Noir though. It was mad OP in VS Destiny Plus and granted it's not like that anymore, it's such a fun suit to use (judging from Destiny Plus and what we've seen so far). And Gold Frame will be awesome to see in action. Black mobile suits for days!
Wonder if the crew will be lazy again and not add trial missions like with GP03 and Xi. Looks like I'm gonna have to hit you up again for points, Ju! o.o
I am the least likely person ever to play competitive online games but the OP speaks the truth in that this is an excellent game with a seriously good online setup. I am a Gundam fan which drew me in but I stayed for the excellent gameplay and ridiculous amount of content.
I haven't played in months as I got stuck trying to finish off the last tier of single player mission content and decided to put the game down for awhile but with new DLC and new Gaf'ers coming in it may be time to put that disc back in.
I gave this game a GoTY nomination last year because of how much fun I had with it and how well it's put together and my feelings for it haven't changed. It's a crying shame that we don't have a localized version in English with USA and European servers but that shouldn't stop anyone who's interested from getting the game. It's fantastic.

Dudes at the gamefaqs board found the VAs of the new pilots/suits in the updated credits for vanilla. No Flit was found.
