Capcpom's 1942 has racist dogwhistle; probably won't get removed

In Capcom's hit 1984 arcade shooter "1942" there is a not so hidden message on the aircraft carrier that your craft launches from - there is a giant "88" graphic on the front of the carrier. The number 88 is a coded message, with the number 8 being reference to the 8th letter of the alphabet, "H"... so it actually reads "HH", or "Heil Hitler!".

For all of these years we've through it strange that Japan would release a game about Western forces destroying Japanese planes; turns out it was just a dog whistle for Capcom's racist agenda this whole time.

Capcom have not been contacted for comment.

(Also there has almost been the same amount of time passed between the release of this game and now as there was between the actual 1942 and the release of this game!)
