Very sad to see how far Remedy has fallen from Max Payne. Maybe the animation will be fixed, but nothing in the combat feels fresh, and that entire all red area, I can't see shit and where I'm suppose to be.
It feels like weird for the sake of weird. Max Payne drug levels were amazing.
Does Remedy do drugs?
Wth did I just watch.
I like the effects and style going on. PT will make this game a looker.
It's like a weird infamous/devil may cry.
Veering to far into the abstract (Marathon) can be a turn off for some consumers.
Some of the levels and imagery are cool but are they fun to play in?
I hope it does relatively well. A respectful budget aligned with reasonable expectations.
These sort of devil may cry games have a very vocal base of enthusiast fans but they never really seem to blow the roof off in terms of popularity. But I don't have a basic problem with animations being skipped or cancelled in an action game.
The first Control being a third person shooter helped it immensely. Shifting into devil may cry lite combat.... that's a risky move by Remedy. As a huge fan, I hope it pan outs for them.
